Getting Started: Pricing, Products Setup Guide

MoeGo supports pricing setup for:

  • Services

  • Add-ons

  • Packages

  • Retail products

  • Taxes and checkout behaviors

  • Online booking payment rules

Most setup steps must be completed on desktop and may require admin or owner permissions.

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

  • ✅ Admin or Owner access

  • ✅ Desktop access (required for packages and advanced settings)

  • Retail module enabled (contact Support if Retail is missing)

  • ✅ Access to Online Booking > Settings (for booking configuration)

  • ✅ Retail product spreadsheet + written owner authorization (for bulk imports)


Step by step instructions

1️⃣ Set Up Service Pricing & Add-Ons

Create or Edit Services

  • Create or edit a service

  • Set pricing and service details

Create or Edit Add-Ons

  • Create add-ons

  • Define which services they apply to

  • Configure pet/service filters if needed


2️⃣ Add Surcharges

Go to: Settings > Services > Service Charges / Pricing Rules
(“Pricing Rules” is available for accounts with the Boarding & Daycare module.)

You can create additional fees such as:

  • Size-based fees

  • Complexity fees

  • Peak-date surcharges

  • Fuel or mobile service fees

Important:

The available surcharge type depends on your account plan.

🐾 Grooming-Only Plan

The surcharge type is called Service Charges.

You can create custom fees based on your business needs, such as:

  • Mobile fuel fees

  • Handling or complexity fees

  • Special service add-ons

These charges apply directly to grooming services.

🏨 Multi-Service Plan (Boarding & Daycare Module Included)

The surcharge type is called Pricing Rules.

Pricing Rules allow more advanced configurations, including:

  • Multiple-night or extended-stay rules

  • Length-of-stay discounts or adjustments

  • Boarding/daycare-specific pricing logic

  • Peak or seasonal adjustments

These rules are primarily designed for Boarding and Daycare services.


3️⃣ Create and Manage Packages

Package feature is available on Desktop only.

Go to: Loyalty > Package

Create a Package

  • Select included services

  • Set pricing

  • Set validity period

Sell a Package to a Client

  1. Click the + button

  2. Select Sell Packages

  3. Choose the client

  4. Complete the sale

Track or Adjust a Client’s Package

  1. Open the Client Profile

  2. Go to the Packages tab

  3. View remaining credits and history

  4. Use available actions (e.g., extend validity)


4️⃣ Set Up Retail Products

If Retail is missing: Contact Support to enable it.

Once enabled, Go to: Retail

  • Add products

  • Manage inventory

Sell Retail Products

You can:

  • Add products during invoice checkout
    OR

  • Use the + menu (if supported in your invoice version)


5️⃣ Taxes & Checkout Behavior

Taxes are applied at checkout based on the invoice total.

To ensure taxes are calculated correctly, you must:

1️⃣ Set up the correct tax rate
2️⃣ Attach the tax to your services

Step 1: Set Up Tax

Create and configure your tax rate(s) here.

Step 2: Attach Tax to Services

After creating the tax, you must attach it to each applicable service.

Go to: Settings > Services

Open each service and assign the appropriate tax.

This ensures taxes are automatically applied to appointment invoices.

Make sure to review all relevant service types, including:

Important clarification at Checkout:

  • Package and prepay amounts are calculated based on the service base price.

  • Taxes are applied separately at checkout.

  • If you see a remaining tax balance after collecting deposit or prepayment, this is expected system behavior.


Troubleshooting

Packages Not Showing in Client Profile

  • Confirm the package was actually sold (+ > Sell Packages)

  • Refresh or log out and log back in

  • If the Packages tab disappeared after an update, contact Support

Prepay Did Not Cover Taxes

Expected behavior.
Prepay covers base price only. Taxes apply at checkout.

Retail Buttons Missing

Retail may not be enabled. Please Contact Support.

Also note: Mobile and some invoice versions may not support full retail functionality.

Product Sales Disappear from Invoice

In the current invoice version, the “Add Product” button will not appear if you are collecting a deposit on the invoice.

To ensure product sales are properly recorded, please add retail products during the checkout process.

Need to Restrict an Add-On to Specific Groomer

Not supported.

Workaround: Create a separate standalone service assigned only to that groomer.


Common Setup Mistakes

  • Expecting clients to book multiple main services per pet in one booking

  • Expecting prepay/package to include taxes

  • Assuming Retail is enabled by default

  • Trying to lock add-ons to one staff instead of using a separate service


When to Contact Support

Contact Support if:

  • Retail needs to be enabled

  • You need retail inventory imports

  • You need gift cards, package receipts, or advanced surcharge workflows
