Mobile Grooming - Map View on Desktop

The Map View feature helps mobile grooming businesses manage appointments, staff, and routes more efficiently.

By using the Map View on desktop, you can:

  • Visualize appointments on a map

  • Optimize routes

  • Monitor staff schedules

  • Improve daily planning and staff utilization

  • This feature is designed for mobile grooming businesses

  • Available on the desktop version

  • Some advanced features require Growth or Ultimate plans


Navigate to Map View

You can access Map View directly from the calendar.

Steps

  1. Open the Calendar on desktop

  2. Click Map View above the calendar

Map Controls

Use the controls at the bottom right of the map:

  • Fullscreen button → Expand the map view

  • Focus button → Recenter the map to your service area and fit all appointments

  • + / – buttons → Zoom in or out


Manage Staff on Map View

Map View allows you to easily manage staff schedules and workloads.

Staff List

  • Show staff: Select the checkbox next to a staff member to display their appointments on the map

  • Staff on van: Hover over a staff name to view their assigned van

  • Staff capacity: See the number of completed appointments vs total appointments for the day

Staff Visibility Settings

To show staff on the calendar:

Settings → Staff → Staff Profile → Show on Calendar

To show staff on the map:

Settings → Mobile Vans → Assign Staff

Staff Color Codes

Staff members can be identified by color-coded appointments and map pins.

If a staff portrait is not uploaded, the system will display their color code.

You can customize color codes to help organize staff by:

  • Service area

  • Mobile van

  • Team

Set Staff Color Code

Settings → Staff → Staff Profile → Color Code


Track Staff on Map View

The Tracking feature allows you to see the real-time location of staff during the workday.

Click the Track button to view staff locations.

Tracking Status

Driving (Staff A in picture)
Location has changed within the last 3 minutes.

Stopped (Staff B in picture)
No location change within the last 3 minutes.

No location data (Staff C in picture)
The last known location is shown.

No data all day (Staff D in picture)
No tracking data is available.

Tracking Rules

Tracking is designed to support operations while protecting staff privacy.

Limited Tracking Scope

  • Tracking only works during staff working hours

  • Tracking only works on the appointment date

Staff are not tracked outside these conditions.

Real-Time Data Only

  • Location data is only available for the current day

  • All location data is removed after working hours


Staff Control

Tracking is based on the staff account logged into the MoeGo mobile app.

Technical Requirements

For tracking to work:

  • Phone GPS must be enabled

  • MoeGo app must be running and updated

  • Staff must be logged into the correct account

  • It must be within staff working hours

Permission Settings

You can control who can view staff location.

Settings → Staff → Role Permissions → Powerful Tools → Access Staff Location


See Routes on Map View

Map View allows you to visualize daily routes for each staff member.

Click Route from top right corner to display the route order.

Appointments will appear as numbered pins, indicating the visit sequence.

This helps reduce travel time and improve scheduling efficiency.

View Service Areas

You can also visualize service areas directly on the map.

Click Service Area to display the service area for each staff member.

This helps with:

  • Balancing staff workload

  • Planning routes

  • Managing service coverage

Display Driving Time & Distance

To optimize routes, you can display estimated travel time between appointments.

Click Display Driving Time & Distance.

⚠️ This option works when only one staff member is selected.

Note: Driving time is calculated using historical average data, not real-time traffic.

Manage Appointments on Map View

Map View provides a visual overview of all appointments.

  • Hover over a pin → View appointment summary

  • Click a pin → Open and edit appointment details

  • Finished appointments → Display a checked icon


Create Appointments Between Map & Calendar Views

You can switch between Map View and Calendar View when scheduling appointments.

Start Scheduling from Map View

This method prioritizes staff availability and route efficiency.

Steps

  1. Open Map View

  2. Select a client

  3. View the client’s address on the map

  4. Select available staff

  5. Review service areas and routes

  6. Switch back to Calendar View to set the appointment time

  7. Book the appointment

Start Scheduling from Calendar View

This method prioritizes client location and availability.

Steps

  1. Open Calendar View

  2. Select staff and date

  3. Choose a time that fits existing appointments

  4. Switch to Map View

  5. Adjust the route order if needed

  6. Book the appointment

Schedule Appointments with Driving Time Timeline

When selecting a staff member, a timeline bar appears below the map.

This timeline shows:

  • Existing appointments

  • Driving time between appointments

  • Travel distance

You can also drag and drop appointments on the timeline to adjust scheduling.


Frequently Asked Questions

Is Map View available for my business?

  • Yes. Map View is available for all mobile businesses.

  • However, advanced features such as tracking, routes, and service areas are available only on Growth and Ultimate plans.

How is staff privacy protected with tracking?

  • Tracking only works:

    • During staff working hours

    • On the appointment date

  • Location data is not stored after the day ends.

Does the tracking feature monitor staff all the time?

  • No. Tracking only works on the appointment date and within staff working hours.

Why can't I see staff location on the map?

  • Please check the following:

    • Phone GPS is enabled

    • MoeGo app is running and updated

    • Staff is logged into the correct account

    • It is within staff working hours

    • The appointment is scheduled for today
