Mobile Grooming - Certain Area for Certain Days

The Certain Area for Certain Days (CACD) setting allows you to control which service areas are available on specific days.

This helps you:

  • Schedule appointments within the same area per day

  • Reduce driving time

  • Improve routing efficiency

  • Increase daily booking capacity


🖥️ Web Version

Step 1: Assign Regular Service Areas (Weekly Schedule)

Go to:
Settings > Staff > Shift Management

Switch to List View.

For each staff member, you can:

  • Leave the area as “Any Area”, or

  • Select a specific service area from the dropdown for each weekday

This sets the regular weekly service area shift.

Step 2: View & Adjust Areas in Calendar View

After assigning weekly areas, switch to Calendar View.

You can:

  • See the assigned service area for each staff on specific dates

  • Identify service areas by their color-coded time blocks

The staff time block color will match the assigned service area.

Step 3: Set a Date Override (One-Day Change)

If a staff member needs to work in a different area on a specific date:

  1. Click on the staff’s date block

  2. The Edit Date Override panel will appear on the right

  3. Change the service area

  4. Click Save

This will:

  • Update the area for that specific date only

  • Not affect the regular weekly area assignment


Calendar View

Show Service Area on Calendar

To display service areas on the calendar:

  1. Go to Calendar View

  2. Click Config (top left)

  3. Select Show Staff Service Area

  4. Click Save

The assigned service area will now appear directly on the calendar.


CACD with Smart Scheduling

If you use Smart Scheduling:

Go to: Settings > Smart Scheduling

Toggle on Certain Area for Certain Days

When enabled, Smart Scheduling will:

  • Consider each staff member’s assigned service area

  • Recommend appointment times only within their designated area

📱Mobile App

Go to: Settings > Set Certain Area for Certain Days

  1. Select the groomer (top right corner of the calendar)

  2. Tap on a specific date

  3. Select the service area

  4. Tap Apply

Area Date Override (App)

Unlike the desktop version, the mobile app does not support setting regular weekly area shifts.

On the app, service areas can only be assigned per selected date.

If a staff member needs to work in a different area on a specific day:

  1. Select the date

  2. Choose the appropriate service area

  3. Tap Apply

This assignment functions as a date override.

It:

  • Applies only to the selected date

  • Does not modify the regular weekly area shift configured on the desktop version

For recurring weekly area assignments, please use the desktop version.
