Mobile grooming businesses require flexible and precise management of their operating territories.

MoeGo’s Service Area feature is designed specifically for mobile grooming businesses, allowing you to:

  • Define where your business operates

  • Assign specific areas to specific days

  • Control Online Booking availability by area

  • Manage and visualize client distribution

🖥️ Web Version

1. Add a Service Area

Setting up service areas is the first step to organizing your scheduling and territory management.

Go to: Settings > Businesses > Select Your Business > Service Area

Click Add New Service Area

You can define your service area in two ways:

Option 1: Draw on the Map

  1. Click Draw

  2. Select the Draw tool in the top right corner of the map

  3. Click on the map to create boundary points

  4. Continue clicking to form your custom area

  5. Click the starting point to close the shape

Helpful tools:

  • Undo – Removes the last point

  • Clear – Removes all selected points and restarts the drawing

Option 2: Add by Zip Code

  1. Enter a ZIP code in the search field

  2. Select it from the dropdown list

  3. Repeat the process for additional ZIP codes

Important:

  • Each ZIP code must be entered and selected individually

  • Simply typing multiple ZIP codes without selecting them from the dropdown will not work

2. Helpful Map Tools (Web Only)

Show Other Service Areas

Select Show Other Service Areas to view existing service areas on the map while creating a new one.

This helps prevent overlap or gaps between territories.

Show Active Clients

Select Show Active Clients to display all active clients as map pins based on their saved addresses.

This helps you:

  • Ensure current clients fall within service boundaries

  • Adjust territory lines more accurately

3. Save the Service Area

After drawing your boundary or selecting all desired ZIP codes, click Next.

You will then:

  • Enter a Service Area Name

  • Select a Color Code

The selected color will:

  • Display the area visually on the map

  • Appear with the service area name on the client’s appointment

Once completed, click Save to finalize the service area.

4. View Service Areas on Map View (Web Only)

You can view all created service areas directly from the calendar.

  1. Go to Calendar

  2. Switch to Map View

  3. Click the Service Area icon in the top right corner

All existing service areas will be displayed on the map.

Note: On the mobile app, you can view the service area assigned to a staff member for the selected day, as long as the area was created using the draw method.

📱Mobile App

On the app, service areas are managed slightly differently.

Go to:
Settings > Mobile Grooming Settings > Set Certain Area for Certain Days

Tap the Map icon (top right corner)

In the map view, you can see all existing service areas that were created by drawing.

Please note:
Service areas created using ZIP codes on the desktop version cannot be displayed on map view on app due to technical limitations.

  2. Scroll down and tap Add New Area

App Limitations

  • zipcode-based setup is not available on the app

  • Areas created using zipcodes on desktop will not display visually on the app map due to technical limitations

  • On the app, areas can only be created by drawing

  • On the app, all areas will not display on calendar map view, only assigned area for selected staff on selected date will be displayed.

Applying Service Areas to Online Booking

If you require clients to enter their address during Online Booking, you can restrict which service areas are eligible for booking.

This must be configured on the web version.

By setting bookable service areas, you ensure:

  • Clients outside your operating territory cannot submit booking requests

  • Travel time and routing remain manageable

For full Online Booking setup instructions, please refer to the Mobile Grooming Online Booking Guide.
