Facility-Wide Pet Limit gives one location a shared maximum for pets onsite across supported care types.

Use these answers to understand how pets are counted, why a warning or unavailable time appears, and what changes when the setting is updated.

Q: What does Facility-Wide Pet Limit control?

A: It controls the maximum number of unique pets that can be onsite at one location at the same time across supported care types.

Q: Is Facility-Wide Pet Limit the same as lodging capacity?

A: No. Facility-Wide Pet Limit controls the total number of pets onsite. Lodging capacity controls the availability of particular rooms, kennels, runs, or lodging areas.

Q: Which care types count toward the limit?

A: Supported onsite care types share the same limit. This includes Boarding, Daycare, Grooming, and Evaluation.

Q: Does one pet with multiple overlapping services count more than once?

A: No. One physical pet counts once while it is onsite, even when it receives overlapping services. For example, a Boarding pet receiving a Grooming service during the stay still counts as one pet.

Q: How are two pets from the same family counted?

A: Each pet counts separately because two physical pets are onsite.

Q: Why does MoeGo show an over-capacity warning when a kennel is available?

A: An available kennel confirms room availability, not total facility availability. The location may already be at its facility-wide limit because of Boarding, Daycare, Grooming, Evaluation, or other supported onsite appointments.

Q: Can staff schedule past the facility-wide limit?

A: Yes. MoeGo shows staff an Over facility capacity warning, but the warning does not prevent them from continuing. The business can decide whether it can safely support the exception.

Q: Why can't a client select a date or time in Online Booking?

A: The choice may take the location over its facility-wide limit. Service availability, staff availability, lodging availability, and other booking rules may also make a date or time unavailable.

Q: When can a client join the waitlist?

A: A waitlist option may appear for an applicable Boarding or Daycare flow when the business has enabled waitlist and the selected availability is full.

Q: How do arrival and pickup times affect the limit?

A: They define the period when a Boarding or Daycare pet is onsite. An earlier arrival or later pickup can overlap with more pets, so some time combinations may be unavailable even when the date can be selected.

Q: What happens if the business enables or lowers the limit after appointments are already booked?

A: Existing appointments and lodging assignments are not canceled, moved, or removed. Staff may see warnings when they create or change appointments that would exceed the new limit. Online Booking availability also uses the updated limit.

Q: Does changing the facility-wide limit change lodging assignments?

A: No. Facility-Wide Pet Limit and lodging assignments are separate. Changing the limit does not move pets between rooms, kennels, runs, or lodging areas.

Q: What happens when a client reschedules an appointment online?

A: MoeGo checks the proposed dates and times again. If the new choice has no capacity, the client sees No availability and must select another date or time.

Q: Why might staff still be unable to accept a booking request after reviewing the facility warning?

A: Other requirements can block acceptance independently. For example, when a client submits vaccine information, staff must review it before accepting the request.
