Facility-Wide Pet Limit checks how many unique pets would be onsite when staff create or change appointments. It applies across supported care types at the same location, not only Boarding and Daycare.

This article explains the warnings staff see during new bookings, booking-request acceptance, Book Again, repeat appointments, and rescheduling.

How It Works

The staff experience is warning-based. When an action would take the location over its limit, MoeGo identifies the affected date or time and shows the expected count, such as 51 / 50 pets.

Staff can still continue when the facility warning appears. This gives the business control over operational exceptions, such as accepting an emergency stay after a manager confirms extra staffing.

Staff workflow

Capacity check

Create or edit an appointment

Checks the selected date and time across supported onsite care types.

Accept a booking request

Shows the facility warning in the conflict review before staff continue.

Book Again

Rechecks the copied appointment against the new date and time.

Repeat appointment

Checks each occurrence and identifies the dates that exceed the limit.

Reschedule

Rechecks the proposed date and time before staff confirm the change.

Other scheduling conflicts remain separate. A facility warning does not remove staff conflicts, lodging conflicts, service restrictions, or other booking requirements.

Create or edit an appointment

MoeGo checks the full period when staff create or edit Boarding, Daycare, Grooming, Evaluation, or another supported onsite appointment.

  • For a multi-day Boarding stay, the warning can identify each affected date.

  • For Daycare, Grooming, or Evaluation, the warning can identify the scheduled time when the pet would take the location over its limit.

  • If one pet receives overlapping services, that pet counts once. Different pets count separately.

The warning appears before staff save the appointment. Staff can review the count and decide whether to continue.

Accept a booking request

When staff accept a request that would exceed the facility-wide limit, the Conflict alert shows Over facility capacity. Staff can cancel or select Continue to schedule.

The capacity warning may appear with other appointment conflicts. Staff should review each conflict before continuing.

Note

📝 Note: Facility-Wide Pet Limit does not prevent staff from accepting a request. A separate requirement, such as reviewing client-submitted vaccine information, may still block acceptance until it is completed.

Use Book Again

Book Again uses the same capacity check as creating or editing an appointment. MoeGo checks the copied services against the new date and time, then shows an over-capacity warning when needed.

For multi-day care, the warning can identify the affected dates. For a time-based service, it shows the scheduled period that would exceed the limit.

Create a repeat appointment

MoeGo checks every appointment in the repeat series. The preview identifies the occurrences with Over facility capacity so staff can review the affected dates before saving.

Capacity warnings and other schedule conflicts are shown separately. Staff can edit an individual occurrence or save the series after reviewing the conflicts.

Reschedule an appointment

When staff move an appointment from the Lodging View or Calendar, MoeGo checks the proposed date and time again. An over-capacity warning appears before the change is confirmed, and staff can decide whether to continue.

📝 Note: Rescheduling a Boarding or Daycare appointment regenerates its feeding and medication task list for the new dates. Review the appointment's care instructions and tasks after the change, especially when staff have already completed part of the original task list.

Limitations

  • Facility-Wide Pet Limit warns staff but does not hard-block staff scheduling.

  • It does not replace lodging, service, staff, vaccine, or other conflict checks.

  • An available kennel, run, or staff member does not guarantee that the facility-wide limit is available.
