Manage your ad campaigns

Monitor campaign performance, understand campaign statuses, pause or edit campaigns, and manage your ad credit balance.

Written by Marina

🌱 MoeGo Ads is launching soon. If you're interested in being one of the first to try it, contact your account manager or MoeGo support to get on the early access list.

The Advertising tab is where you manage your Google ad campaigns after they're created. You can see how each campaign is performing, pick up where you left off on unfinished campaigns, pause or edit live campaigns, and manage your ad credit.

To create a new campaign, click the Create Campaign button in the top right corner. For a walkthrough, see How to create an ad campaign.

Campaign statuses

Each campaign in your list shows a status badge so you know exactly where it stands:

Status

What it means

Draft

You started creating this campaign but haven't finished yet. Click Continue setup to pick up where you left off. No ads are running and no money is being spent.

Learning

Your campaign is live and the AI is warming up. Spend begins within a few days, and metrics start showing within about 12 days. This is normal β€” don't make changes during this phase.

Active

Your campaign is fully running. Ads are showing on Google, spend is active, and performance data is flowing in.

Paused

You've paused this campaign. No ads are showing and no money is being spent. Your settings are saved β€” click Resume to restart anytime.

πŸ“ Note: The Learning phase typically lasts 1–2 weeks. During this time, the AI is figuring out the best keywords, bids, and timing for your specific market. Avoid editing the campaign during Learning β€” changes reset the optimization process.

Campaign metrics

Each campaign card shows three key numbers at a glance:

Metric

What it means

RoAS (Estimated)

Return on Ad Spend β€” roughly how many dollars in sales you could get back for each dollar you spend on ads. Calculated from your estimated revenue and your total ad spend.

Revenue (Estimated)

An estimated range of how much revenue your ads are driving. When store visits can be tracked, the lower estimate counts about 8 in 10 visits at your smaller typical sale, and the higher estimate counts every visit at your larger typical sale. When store visits can't be tracked, the estimate is based on online actions like direction views, calls, and other activity on your listing.

Total Ad Spend

The total amount you've spent on Google ads for this campaign.

Both RoAS and Revenue are marked Estimated because they're calculated from a mix of tracked and inferred actions β€” not exact transaction data.

They give you a useful directional signal, but treat them as estimates rather than precise accounting.

Campaign details

Click Campaign details on any campaign card to open a deeper performance view. You'll find:

  • Ad-driven metrics β€” direction views, phone calls, website visits, and other actions your ads generated

  • Keyword insights β€” the actual search terms customers typed into Google before finding your ad

  • Phone call details β€” every call generated by your ad, including duration, caller location, conversation sentiment, and keywords mentioned

  • Weekly performance trends β€” a graph showing clicks, impressions, spend, directions, store visits, and order clicks over time

πŸ’‘ Tip: Check campaign details weekly. Look for trends over weeks rather than reacting to daily dips β€” AI is optimizing continuously, so short-term fluctuations are normal.

Pause or resume a campaign

You can pause a campaign anytime β€” useful when you're at capacity, going on vacation, or want to stop spending temporarily.

  • To pause: Open the campaign and click Pause Campaign.

  • To resume: Open the same campaign and click Resume Campaign.

Pausing stops ad spend immediately and keeps all your settings saved. When you resume, the campaign picks up where it left off.

πŸ“ Note: Pausing a campaign stops your ad spend, but your $99/month MoeGo Ads subscription continues. Pausing is not the same as cancelling.

Edit a campaign

You can update most settings on a live campaign without pausing it first:

  • Ad content β€” regenerate headlines and descriptions

  • Themes β€” adjust which keyword themes are active

  • Audience β€” change your service radius or target different zip codes

  • Ad spend β€” switch between Small, Medium, and Large budget tiers

  • Call tracking β€” turn call insights on or off

  • Images β€” swap or add new photos

Open the campaign, navigate to the section you want to change, and save. Edits take effect within about 30 minutes. Larger changes like new ad content may take longer as Google re-reviews the ad.

Run multiple campaigns

You can run more than one campaign at the same time β€” for example, one campaign targeting grooming services and another for boarding, or separate campaigns for different service areas.

Click Create Campaign in the top right corner and follow the same creation flow. Each campaign has its own budget, audience, and performance tracking.

Credit Balance

Your Credit Balance is the money available to spend on Google ads. This is separate from your $99/month MoeGo Ads subscription.

You can access it from the Credit Balance link in the top right corner of your Ads section.

  • Check your balance β€” your current credit shows at the top. When it runs low, campaigns pause unless auto top-up is on.

  • Add credits β€” click Add Credits, choose an amount, and confirm. Credits are added immediately.

  • Auto top-up β€” automatically refills your credit when the balance gets low. We strongly recommend keeping this on so campaigns don't pause unexpectedly. Adjust settings under Credit Balance > Settings.

  • Payment history β€” every charge is logged here. You can download invoices for any past transaction.

Recommended next steps

At the bottom of the Advertising tab, you may see a Recommended Next Steps section. This suggests actions to improve your results β€” like analyzing and boosting your Google Business Profile through Profile Manager.

These recommendations are worth following, especially in your first month. A strong Google Business Profile makes your ads more effective.
