Once you've subscribed to MoeGo Ads, there are a few setup steps before you can launch your first campaign. This article walks you through all of them in order. The whole process typically takes 20–30 minutes.

What you'll set up
There are four setup steps to complete before creating your first ad campaign:
Connect your Google Business Profile so MoeGo Ads can manage your advertising, posts, and reviews
Grant team access to Managers or Staff who need to use MoeGo Ads
Add a payment method for ad spend so your campaigns don't stop mid-month
You don't have to do all four in one sitting, but all of them need to be done before your campaigns can launch.
Before you start
⚠️ Important: You'll need to be the owner of your Google Business Profile, not just a manager. If someone else owns the listing (a previous employee, a marketing contractor, a family member), have them complete this step instead — Google will reject the connection if you only have manager access.
📝 Note: Your Google Business Profile needs to be claimed and verified on Google before you can connect it. If you haven't claimed it yet, set that up first at google.com/business, then come back here.
Step 1: Connect your Google Business Profile
Your Google Business Profile (GBP) is the free business listing that appears on Google Search and Google Maps. MoeGo Ads connects to your GBP so it can run ads pointed at your business, publish posts, and reply to reviews — all without you having to log into Google directly.
How to connect
Open the Ads section in MoeGo: Go to Marketing > Ads in your left sidebar.
Click Connect Google Business Profile: You'll see this prompt on your Ads dashboard if you haven't connected yet.
Sign in to Google: A Google sign-in window will open. Sign in with the account that owns your Google Business Profile.
Review and approve permissions: Google will ask you to confirm what MoeGo Ads can do on your behalf — publishing posts, editing profile details, replying to reviews. Click Allow.
Wait for sync: Your business data will pull into the Ads dashboard within about 60 seconds. Once it's done, you'll see your business name, hours, and existing reviews appear.
Multi-location businesses
If you have multiple locations, you'll need to connect each location's Google Business Profile separately. Each location has its own GBP. Switch between locations in MoeGo to connect them one at a time.
If the connection fails
The most common reason a GBP connection fails is that the Google account being used isn't the owner of the listing. Other reasons include unclaimed GBPs, expired Google account passwords, or two-factor authentication interruptions.
Step 2: Grant team access
By default, only you (the account Owner) can access MoeGo Ads. To let Managers or Staff use it, you'll need to grant them the Access ads permission.
Anyone with this permission will have full access to all MoeGo Ads features — creating and editing campaigns, replying to reviews, publishing posts, and viewing performance data.
There's no read-only mode for staff perssio in this version, so only grant it to people you want to take action on your behalf.
How to grant access
Go to Staff Settings: Open Settings from your left sidebar, go to staff
Open Roles: Find Roles or Staff Permissions in your settings menu.
Select the role you want to update: This could be your Manager role, a custom role, or a specific staff member.
Enable Access ads: Find the Access ads permission and toggle it on.
Save your changes: The team member will see the Ads tab in their left sidebar the next time they log in.
⚠️ Think carefully before granting Access ads to staff.
This permission allows them to spend money on your account — including topping up ad credit, launching campaigns, and changing budgets.
Charges go to your saved payment method. We recommend reserving this permission for managers or senior staff who are authorized to make spending decisions.
Step 3: Add a payment method for ad spend
Your $99 monthly MoeGo Ads subscription is billed through your main MoeGo payment method. Ad spend is billed separately — that's the money that actually pays Google to show your ads. You'll need to add a payment method for ad spend before launching your first campaign.
How to add it
Go to Billing inside Ads: In your Ads dashboard, open the Billing tab.
Add a payment method: Click Add payment method and enter your card details.
Turn on Auto Top-up: This is strongly recommended. It automatically refills your ad credit when it runs low, so your campaigns don't pause mid-month.
Set your top-up amount: You can choose how much is added each time auto top-up triggers. A common setting is $100–$200.
Confirm: Once set, your campaigns will be able to launch and run uninterrupted.
📝 Note: Your $210 in free Google Ads credit (included with your first month) will be used first. Your payment method only kicks in once that credit is used up.
