Manage MoeGo Ads day-to-day

A reference guide to using MoeGo Ads after your first campaign is live — how to check performance, manage campaigns, reply to reviews, generate Google posts, and track AI search visibility.

Written by Marina

🌱 MoeGo Ads is launching soon. If you're interested in being one of the first to try it, contact your account manager or MoeGo support to get on the early access list.

Once your first campaign is running, MoeGo Ads becomes a tool you'll check in on regularly rather than something you actively manage every day. If you haven't created a campaign yet, start with [How to create an ad campaign] first 👈

This article walks through what you'll find in each tab of the Ads section and what you can do there.

You don't have to read this top to bottom. Jump to the section that matches the tab you're looking at.

What's inside the Ads section

The Ads section has six tabs along the top:

  • Overview — A dashboard summary of how your ads, profile, and reviews are performing

  • Advertising — Manage your active campaigns

  • AI Search — See how your business shows up on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other AI tools

  • Profile Manager — Manage your Google Business Profile, including posts and business details

  • Review Manager — Read and respond to Google reviews

  • Credit Balance — Manage your ad spend balance and billing

If you have multiple locations, you'll also see a Multi-Location Analytics tab.

Overview

The Overview tab is your starting point. It pulls together top-line metrics from your ads, profile, and reviews so you can see how things are going at a glance.

Check Overview when you want a quick health check — usually once or twice a week is enough.

What you'll find here:

  • Total clicks, impressions, and spend for your campaigns

  • Click-through rate (CTR) showing how often people who see your ad actually click

  • Number of new direction requests, calls, and store visits generated by your ads

  • A weekly performance graph so you can spot trends

💡 Tip: If something on the Overview looks off — a sudden drop in clicks, a spike in spend, no new reviews in weeks — that's your cue to dig into the specific tab where the issue lives.

Advertising

The Advertising tab is where you manage your active campaigns. This is where you'll spend most of your time when you need to make changes.

Check campaign performance

Click any campaign in the list to open its Campaign Details page. You'll see:

  • Ad-driven metrics: direction views, phone calls, website visits, menu views, orders, and other customer actions

  • Phone call details: every call your ad generated, including duration, location, sentiment, and the keywords that came up

  • Keyword insights: the actual search terms customers used to find your ad

  • Weekly performance trends: clicks, impressions, spend, directions, store visits, and order clicks over time

Pause or resume a campaign

You can pause a campaign anytime — useful if you're going on vacation, hit capacity, or want to stop spending for a period.

  1. Open the campaign you want to pause.

  2. Click Pause Campaign in the campaign settings.

  3. To resume: open the campaign again and click Resume Campaign.

📝 Note: Pausing stops ad spend immediately but keeps all your campaign settings saved. Your subscription continues during a pause — you're not charged for the platform if your campaign is paused, but the $99/month MoeGo Ads subscription does continue.

Edit a campaign

You can edit most settings on a live campaign — change your daily budget, update your service radius, regenerate ad copy, or swap photos.

  1. Open the campaign you want to edit.

  2. Navigate to the section you want to change (Content, Themes, Audience, Call Tracking, or Ad Spend).

  3. Make your changes and click Save.

Edits take effect within about 30 minutes. Larger changes (like new ad content) may take longer as Google re-reviews the ad.

Create a new campaign

You can run multiple campaigns at the same time — for example, one campaign targeting grooming services and another targeting boarding. To create a new one, click Create Campaign and follow [How to create an ad campaign].

AI Search

AI Search shows you how your business appears when customers use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity to look for local pet services. More and more pet owners are starting their search this way instead of (or in addition to) Google.

Check AI Search once or twice a month to see how your visibility is trending.

Key metrics to understand

Metric

What it means

Visibility Score

How often AI tools mention your business when someone asks for recommendations in your area. Higher is better.

Sentiment Score

Whether AI tools describe your business positively, neutrally, or negatively. Driven mostly by your reviews.

Mention Rate

The percentage of relevant AI searches in your area where your business comes up.

Share of Voice

How often you're mentioned compared to your competitors.

What drives your AI Search visibility

AI tools don't have a "pay to play" model like Google Ads. Instead, they pull from sources like your Google Business Profile, your reviews, and your website. To improve your AI Search performance:

  • Keep your Google Business Profile complete and up to date (use Profile Manager)

  • Encourage happy customers to leave detailed Google reviews

  • Make sure your service descriptions on Google are specific and clear

📝 Note: AI Search is a longer-term play than Google Ads. You won't see overnight changes — improvements come from gradually strengthening the signals AI tools use to recommend businesses.

Profile Manager

Profile Manager is your control center for your Google Business Profile, without having to log into Google directly.

Update your business details

Your business name, address, hours, services, and photos all live here. Anything you change in Profile Manager is published to your Google Business Profile automatically.

  1. Go to Profile Manager in your Ads section.

  2. Navigate to Profile Details.

  3. Edit the field you want to change — name, hours, services, description, etc.

  4. Click Save. The update is pushed to Google within a few minutes.

💡 Tip: Keep your hours especially up to date around holidays. Outdated hours are the #1 reason customers show up at a closed shop and leave a frustrated review.

Generate Google posts in bulk

Google Business Profile lets you publish posts — updates that appear on your listing — but most businesses never use this feature because it's time-consuming. Profile Manager makes it easy by generating posts automatically.

  1. Click Generate Posts in the Posts section.

  2. Choose your generation settings:

    • Number of posts (default is 12 — about 3 months at one post per week)

    • Posting frequency (default is once per week)

    • Upload your brand logo if you'd like it included

  3. Click Generate. MoeGo will create posts based on your business, themes, and service descriptions.

  4. Review each post in the Upcoming Posts list. For each one, you can:

    • Edit the caption, image, or call-to-action

    • Approve to schedule it for posting

    • Delete if you don't want it

  5. Approved posts will publish automatically on their scheduled dates.

Create a single post

If you want to publish a one-off post (for example, a holiday special or a service announcement), you can create one manually.

  1. Click Create New Post.

  2. Write your caption (30 to 1,500 characters). You can use the AI rewrite option to refine your text.

  3. Upload an image (1200x1200 pixels or larger, under 5MB).

  4. Add a call-to-action like "Learn more" or "Book now," plus the URL.

  5. Choose when to publish — now or schedule for later.

  6. Click Publish.

Track Google Search performance

The Profile Manager also shows you how customers are finding your business on Google:

  • Interactions chart: how many people clicked, called, or got directions from your profile

  • Before/After comparison: how your performance changed after you started using MoeGo Ads

  • Search impressions: the actual search terms people used to find your business, and how often each one came up

Review Manager

Review Manager pulls in all your Google reviews and helps you respond to them quickly using AI-generated replies. You don't need to log into Google to manage your reviews here.

Check Review Manager at least weekly — fast review responses are one of the biggest factors in how customers and AI tools rank your business.

Read your reviews

The Review List shows every Google review your business has received, color-coded by star rating. Already-replied reviews are marked so you can focus on the ones that need attention.

At the top of the Review Manager, you'll also see:

  • Summary of recent reviews — an AI-generated overview of the past 50 reviews, including what customers loved and what they complained about

  • Highlights — tag cloud showing themes that come up often (e.g., "attentive staff," "clean facility," "long wait times") with trend arrows showing whether each is improving or getting worse

Reply to a review with Smart Reply

Smart Reply uses AI to write personalized responses based on the content of each review. It's context-aware — for a 5-star review praising your groomer, it'll write a warm thank-you. For a 1-star review about a specific issue, it'll write a thoughtful, apologetic response that addresses the complaint.

  1. Open the review you want to reply to.

  2. Click Smart Reply. A suggested reply will appear.

  3. Review the reply. Edit anything you want to change — Smart Reply is a starting point, not a final answer.

  4. Choose your signature if you have multiple set up.

  5. Click Post Reply. Your response is published on Google immediately.

⚠️ Important: Always review what Smart Reply generates before posting — especially for negative reviews. AI can sometimes miss nuance, and a tone-deaf reply to an upset customer can make things worse.

Set up signatures

You can save multiple signatures (for example, one for the business and one for the owner personally) and pick which one to use for each reply.

  1. Go to Review Manager settings.

  2. Add a new signature — give it a name and write the text.

  3. Save. It will appear as an option whenever you reply to a review.

Credit Balance

The Credit Balance tab is where you manage the money that pays for your ads. This is separate from your $99/month MoeGo Ads subscription — Credit Balance is for ad spend only.

Check your balance

Your current Ad Credit Balance shows at the top of the tab. This is the money available to spend on Google ads.

When your balance gets low, your campaigns will pause unless you have auto top-up enabled.

Add credits manually

  1. Click Add Credits.

  2. Choose an amount.

  3. Confirm payment using your saved payment method or add a new one.

Credits are added immediately and available for your campaigns.

Adjust auto top-up

Auto top-up automatically adds credits when your balance gets low. We strongly recommend keeping this on so your campaigns don't pause unexpectedly.

  1. Click Settings in the Auto Top-up section.

  2. Toggle Auto Top-up on or off.

  3. Set the trigger amount (when balance drops below this, top-up triggers).

  4. Set the amount to add each time top-up runs.

  5. Click Save.

View payment history

The Payment History section shows every charge to your account — both ad credit top-ups and subscription charges. You can download invoices for any past charge.

Multi-Location Analytics

If you have multiple locations on your MoeGo plan, you'll see a Multi-Location Analytics tab that lets you compare performance across all of them in one place.

You can see:

  • Aggregate metrics for all your locations combined

  • Per-location breakdowns of ad spend, clicks, calls, and bookings

  • Side-by-side comparisons to identify which locations are performing best

This tab is most useful for owners managing 3 or more locations who want to spot patterns or reallocate effort. Single-location businesses won't see this tab.

Day-to-day check-in routine

If you're new to managing ads, here's a simple rhythm to start with:

  • Daily (2 minutes): Glance at Overview to make sure nothing's broken

  • Weekly (15–20 minutes): Reply to new reviews in Review Manager, approve any pending Google posts in Profile Manager, scan the Advertising tab

  • Monthly (30 minutes): Review campaign performance, check AI Search trends, top up credits if needed

You don't need to do more than this. MoeGo Ads is designed to run itself — your job is to handle the human-judgment parts (reviewing AI suggestions, replying to reviews, keeping your profile current).
