Set up grooming report templates

Configure grooming-specific sections, custom questions, and the report preview before your team sends visit updates.

Written by Marina

šŸ’Ž Growth and above: Customized feedback requires Growth or above plan. This requirement applies to custom questions, not every section described below.

A grooming report card šŸ‘ˆ brings together the results of a pet’s grooming visit. Its template includes grooming-specific settings for services, pet condition, and follow-up appointments.

Use this guide on MoeGo Business Web. For care updates during a stay or daycare visit, use Set up boarding and daycare report templates šŸ‘ˆ

Open the grooming template

  1. Open Settings > Grooming Report

  2. Expand Design your brand style.

  3. Enter your report title.

For visual options and eligibility, follow How to choose a report card theme šŸ‘ˆ

Set the sending preference

  1. Select the business: Check the business selector at the top of the Grooming report settings.

  2. Open Sending preference.

  3. Select how your team will send reports.

Configure grooming sections

  1. Expand the section you want to configure.

  2. Edit its available settings: Use the guide below to decide what to include.

  3. Toggle sections with an on/off switch to control whether they appear in the report.

Keep at least one section enabled. Service detail has its own settings; the supplied screen does not show a section-level toggle for it.

Showcase

  • Add before-and-after photos to visually showcase each pet’s transformation. This gives customers a clear comparison and highlights the quality of your grooming service.

Service Detail

  • Keep pet parents informed about the specific services performed during each grooming session—building transparency and trust in their pet’s care.

  • This section is displayed by default. You can also choose whether or not to display the staff name.

Pet Condition

  • Document and communicate any observations or changes in a pet’s health, skin, or coat condition to ensure attentive and consistent care.
You can edit existing conditions or add new ones (such as coat, skin, ears, etc.), and customize the options available for each condition.

Review Booster

  • Encourage satisfied customers to leave a rating and share feedback directly within the report, helping you strengthen your online reputation and attract new clients.

  • When a client submits their rating and comment, the feedback is stored in the MoeGo system and displayed on your online booking storefront.

  • You can also include review site links (such as Yelp, Google, or Facebook), which appear as small clickable icons at the end of the report. Clients can use these links to leave reviews on external platforms.

  • The links displayed here are automatically synced with your Review Booster settings. Any updates you make within the report will be reflected in the Review Booster configuration as well.

Next Appointment

  • Make it effortless for customers to view their next appointment or book again, helping you build loyalty and encourage repeat visits.
You can choose to display either the date and time or just the date of the next appointment.

If no upcoming appointment is scheduled, an online booking link will automatically appear on the report, prompting clients to schedule their next visit.

Add grooming questions

Use questions that help staff explain the visit, such as how the pet responded to brushing or handling.

  1. Turn on Customized feedback.

  2. Expand Customized feedback.

  3. Select Add customized question.

  4. Select the question type.

  5. Enter the question text.

  6. Enter answer options if the question uses choices.

Some built-in options cannot be deleted. Use the editing controls shown for the field you are changing.

Test and publish

  1. Select a preview channel: Review the SMS or Email view in the editor.

  2. Select Test: Follow the prompts to check the report using the available test option.

  3. Select Save and publish: Publish the template when you are satisfied with it.

šŸ“ Note: A test checks the template’s presentation. Publishing makes the template available for report creation; it does not send a pet’s report to a client.

If staff already have a report draft open, have them review it before sending. Check any template-update prompt that appears rather than assuming every saved draft has changed.
