Smart Note (Alpha)

Review key pet, client, and appointment information in one place before a grooming appointment.

Written by Rebekah Martin

šŸ”’ Alpha: This feature is currently in Alpha. We'll reach out if your account qualifies.

Smart Note gives groomers a quick view of key information before a grooming appointment. It brings supported notes, appointment details, and alerts together in the MoeGo mobile app so you can review important context in one place.

Instead of checking several areas for pet preferences, client context, appointment notes, and alerts before a groom, Smart Note summarizes the information for you so you can prepare more quickly.

šŸ“ Note: Smart Note uses AI to summarize information already recorded by your business. AI-generated summaries can make mistakes or miss context.

Review the original notes in References when needed, and use the feedback options to report anything that looks incorrect.

How it works

Open a grooming appointment in the MoeGo mobile app, then open Smart Note from the appointment.

Smart Note can organize available information into sections such as:

  • Alerts — expired or missing vaccinations and unsigned agreements

  • For Today — information from the current appointment that may matter today

  • Parking Note — parking instructions when available

  • How to Work with This Dog — handling, grooming, product, or pet preferences

  • Client-Related — relevant client information and preferences

Sections only appear when Smart Note has relevant information to show.

šŸ“ Note: Smart Note does not currently read client message history. If important information is shared in a message, add it to the appropriate note so your team can reference it later.

What Smart Note uses

Smart Note can use:

  • Client Notes from the previous 12 months

  • Pet Notes from the previous 12 months

  • The current appointment's Ticket Comment

  • The current appointment's Alert Note

  • Vaccination alerts

  • Agreement alerts

The For Today section considers the current appointment's Ticket Comment and Alert Note. Ticket Comments from previous appointments are not included in the current appointment's For Today summary.

View the original notes

You can check the original notes behind a Smart Note summary and verify where the information came from.

  1. Open Smart Note from the appointment.

  2. Tap the note count under the section you want to review.

  3. Review the References behind the summary.

  4. Filter the notes by Client Notes, Pet Notes, or Ticket Comments as needed.

Give feedback on a Smart Note

If a Smart Note summary looks incorrect or incomplete, you can send feedback directly from the card.

  • Tap šŸ‘ when the summary is helpful.

  • Tap šŸ‘Ž when the summary is inaccurate, missing information, outdated, or too detailed.

    • If you select šŸ‘Ž, you can choose a reason and add more feedback.

šŸ“ Note: Sending feedback does not immediately change the Smart Note shown for the appointment. Your feedback is used to help improve the feature.

Must Know

  • Smart Note is currently available in the MoeGo mobile app only. It is not available on web.

  • Smart Note is currently read-only. You cannot add, edit, or delete notes from Smart Note.

  • Historical and finished appointments can generate Smart Note when you manually open them.

  • If there is no information in the supported note sources, Smart Note may show an empty state instead of generating a summary.

  • When notes conflict, Smart Note prioritizes the more recently updated instruction. Older source notes remain available in References or under the note count so you can verify them.

  • Smart Note summarizes information already recorded by your business. Verify old, conditional, time-sensitive, or one-time instructions in References before relying on them—for example, whether a previously recorded discount or special instruction still applies.

  • Vaccination and agreement alerts are informational and cannot be resolved directly from the Smart Note card.
