Handle bookings and reschedules below the minimum value

Learn what staff can do when a booking or reschedule is below the minimum booking value.

Written by Marina

When staff create, edit, approve, or reschedule a booking that is below an active minimum booking value policy, MoeGo shows a warning.

Staff can update the booking so it meets the minimum, or continue as a business-side exception when the business chooses to accept the booking.

Staff-created bookings

If staff create a booking below the minimum, MoeGo warns them before the booking is completed.

The warning is informational. It does not prevent staff from saving the booking.

Use this exception path when the business has a reason to accept the booking, such as a special customer situation, a manual approval, or a decision to relax the policy for that specific booking.

Staff edits and reschedules

When staff change a supported appointment detail, MoeGo can re-check the latest applicable minimum booking value policy.

Supported changes can include date, time, service, add-on, quantity, pet, service price, lodging, and staff changes.

If the updated booking is below the minimum, staff see a warning and can decide whether to adjust the booking or continue.

Client reschedule requests

If a pet parent submits a reschedule request that may be affected by a minimum booking value policy, staff should review the final dates and services before confirming.

Troubleshooting a missing warning

If you expected a warning but did not see one, confirm:

  • The policy is Active.

  • The booking includes a Boarding service selected in the policy.

  • At least one stay night overlaps the protected dates.

  • The booking is below the minimum after comparing eligible service value before discounts.

  • The workflow is supported on web.

Checkout does not trigger a new minimum booking value check.
