Minimum booking value lets a boarding business set the minimum estimated service value it is willing to accept for selected Boarding services on selected dates.
This helps protect high-demand boarding inventory during holidays, weekends, summer periods, or other dates when a short or low-value stay could prevent a longer or higher-value reservation from fitting.
What the policy does
When a booking matches an active minimum booking value policy, MoeGo compares the booking's qualifying estimated service value with the minimum amount set by the business.
If the booking is below the minimum:
Pet parents must add the booking value by changing service or add add-ons before they can submit it in supported Online Booking flows.
Staff see a warning and can decide whether to change the booking or continue as an exception.
Checkout does not recalculate the policy or add a new charge.
When a booking is affected
A booking is affected when all of the following are true:
The booking includes a Boarding service selected in the policy.
At least one stay night falls within the policy's protected dates.
The qualifying estimated service value is below the policy's minimum amount.
The check-in date is counted as part of the stay. The checkout date is not counted as a stay night.
Example
A business sets a $500 minimum booking value for VIP Boarding during December 22-27.
A pet parent selects a VIP Boarding stay with an estimated qualifying service value of $300. MoeGo shows that the booking is below the minimum and guides the pet parent to adjust the booking before submitting.
Staff can still create or approve the booking from the business side if the business wants to make an exception.
What counts toward the minimum
MoeGo compares the booking against the estimated service value before discounts.
The public rule of thumb is simple: eligible services and eligible add-ons can help the booking meet the minimum, while fees, products, taxes, deposits, packages, memberships, store credit, and discounts do not.
What this policy is not
Minimum booking value is not a minimum-night rule. A short stay can still qualify if the estimated service value reaches the minimum.
Minimum booking value is not dynamic pricing or blackout dates. It does not change the service price and it does not block every booking on a date.
Minimum booking value policy does not add a fee. If MoeGo has given your business separate private instructions for a pay-the-difference flow, follow those instructions separately from this public policy article.
