How minimum booking value works in Online Booking

Understand what pet parents see when a boarding booking is below your minimum booking value.

Written by Marina

When a pet parent creates a supported Online Booking request that matches a minimum booking value policy, MoeGo shows the minimum requirement during the booking flow.

If the booking is below the minimum, the pet parent must update the booking before submitting.

What pet parents may see

Depending on the booking step, pet parents may see:

  • The minimum booking value for the selected Boarding service and dates.

  • The estimated amount that currently counts toward the minimum.

  • The remaining amount needed before the booking can be submitted.

  • A blocked submit or payment button until the booking meets the minimum.

Ways a pet parent can meet the minimum

A pet parent can usually meet the minimum by adjusting the booking, such as:

  • Extending the stay.

  • Choosing a different eligible Boarding service.

  • Adding eligible care or add-ons when available.

Retail products, service fees, taxes, deposits, packages, memberships, store credit, and discounts do not make the booking meet the minimum.

Rescheduling behavior

If a pet parent completes an immediate self-service reschedule, MoeGo checks the minimum booking value on the final review page. The pet parent must adjust the dates or eligible services before confirming if the booking is below the minimum.

If a pet parent submits a reschedule request for staff review, MoeGo may show that a minimum booking value policy applies without showing an exact remaining amount. Staff review the final amount when handling the request.

Why checkout may look unchanged

Minimum booking value policy is checked during booking or rescheduling. Checkout does not recalculate the policy and does not add a fee.
