Set up a minimum booking value policy

Create a minimum booking value policy for selected Boarding services and protected dates.

Written by Marina

Use a minimum booking value policy when your business wants selected Boarding bookings to reach a minimum estimated service value during specific dates or repeating date patterns.

Before you start, make sure the Boarding services you want to protect are active in MoeGo.

Create a policy

  1. Go to Settings > Services > Pricing rules.

  2. Under Booking policy, select Minimum booking value.

  3. Select Add new rule.

  4. Enter a rule name.

  5. Choose whether the rule is Active or Inactive.

  6. Select the active Boarding services the rule should apply to.

  7. Choose the protected dates.

  8. Enter the minimum booking value.

  9. Save the rule.

Choose protected dates

You can protect specific date ranges or repeating date patterns.

Date type

Use it for

Example

Specific dates

One-time holiday or peak period ranges

December 22-27

Repeat dates

Recurring weekdays during a larger period

Every Friday and Saturday from June through August

How date matching works

MoeGo checks the stay dates from check-in through the day before checkout.

Booking date example

Does the policy apply?

Why

Checks out on the first protected date

No

Checkout day is not counted as a stay night.

Checks in on the last protected date

Yes

Check-in day is counted as a stay night.

Includes one night inside the protected range

Yes

Any matching stay night can trigger the policy.

Choose the minimum value

Set the minimum estimated service value the booking must reach before a pet parent can submit the booking in supported Online Booking flows.

Use a value that reflects what your business is willing to accept for the protected service and dates. For example, a premium room during a major holiday may need a higher minimum than a standard room during a normal weekend.

Turn a policy off

To pause a policy without deleting it, change the policy status to Inactive. Inactive policies are not used for new booking checks.

Existing appointments are not automatically changed when you create, edit, activate, or deactivate a policy. MoeGo checks the latest applicable policy when a supported booking, edit, or reschedule flow is submitted.
