🌱 MoeGo Ads is launching soon. If you're interested in being one of the first to try it, contact your account manager or MoeGo support to get on the early access list.
More and more pet owners are finding local businesses by asking AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity instead of — or alongside — searching on Google. When someone asks "What's the best dog groomer near me?" these tools recommend specific businesses by name.
AI Search shows you whether your business is one of those recommendations, how often you're mentioned, what customers are asking, and how you compare to competitors. It's your window into a discovery channel that most businesses aren't tracking yet.
Set up AI Search
The first time you open AI Search, you'll see a Get Started button. Setup takes about 5 minutes and walks you through 3 steps:
Step 1: About your Business
Confirm your website URL (pre-filled from your MoeGo account)
Select your industry from the dropdown
Add a description of your business — or click Generate Description to have AI write one for you
Step 2: Who are your competitors?
Search for and select the competitors you want to track. These are the businesses AI Search will compare you against.
Step 3: What customers ask AI when searching for businesses like yours
AI Search auto-generates 10 personalized prompts based on your business — these are the questions it will monitor across AI platforms
You can edit or delete any prompt, and add your own custom prompts using the "+ Custom prompt" button
Most businesses start with 10–15 prompts and refine over time as they learn what their customers actually ask
After completing setup, your AI Search dashboard will begin collecting data. It can take up to 24 hours for metrics to start appearing.
Prompts
The Prompts section is the core of AI Search. It shows how your business performs across the specific questions customers ask AI tools.
For each prompt, you'll see three metrics:
Metric | What it means |
Presence | The percentage of times your business shows up when this question is asked across AI platforms. |
Share of Voice | How much of the AI's answer mentions your business compared to competitors. |
Sentiment | Whether AI tools describe your business positively, neutrally, or negatively in response to this prompt. |
You can filter results by date range and by AI model (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, or all models combined). Click Refresh data to pull the latest results.
Click View all to see your complete prompt list and detailed results for each one.
Improve AI Search Performance
Click Run analysis to get a comprehensive review of your Google Business Profile with specific recommendations for improving your AI search visibility.
Items marked High Impact are the changes most likely to make a difference. Since AI tools pull heavily from your Google Business Profile, improving it directly improves how AI recommends your business.
Brand Visibility
The Brand Visibility section shows your overall AI search presence at a glance. Once data populates, you'll see metrics like your visibility score, sentiment score, and how often you appear in top-3 rankings.
📝 Note: Brand Visibility data can take up to 24 hours to appear after setup. If you see a "check back in an hour" message, that's normal.
Share of Voice
Share of Voice shows how often you're mentioned compared to your competitors across AI search results. This is displayed as a daily chart so you can track whether your visibility is growing or shrinking relative to the competition.
Competitor Ranking
The Competitor Ranking section shows which businesses are mentioned most often in AI search results for your area and industry. Use this to understand who you're competing with for attention — not just on Google, but across the AI tools your future customers are using.
Keyword Analysis
Keyword Analysis shows which terms and concepts AI tools associate with your business. This helps you understand how AI "sees" you — what services, qualities, and attributes it connects to your name.
If important keywords are missing (for example, AI doesn't associate "mobile grooming" with your business even though that's your main service), that's a signal to update your Google Business Profile description and service list in Profile Manager.
AI-Origin Traffic
AI-Origin Traffic tracks visits to your website that come from AI tools. This tells you how many potential customers are finding you through AI search and then visiting your site.
To use this feature, you'll need to connect your website:
Click Connect now in the AI-Origin Traffic section.
Enter your website domain.
Choose your platform (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace, custom).
Add the tracking code snippet to your website. The setup wizard will show you exactly where to place it.
Review your setup and confirm.
Once connected, AI-Origin Traffic data will begin populating within a few hours.
How to improve your AI search visibility
AI search visibility is a longer-term play than Google Ads. You won't see overnight changes. But the actions that improve it are straightforward:
Keep your Google Business Profile complete and current. AI tools rely heavily on GBP data. Use Profile Manager to fill in every field — services, hours, description, photos.
Encourage detailed Google reviews. Reviews that mention specific services, staff names, or experiences give AI tools more content to work with. A review that says "Great grooming for my poodle, gentle with anxious dogs" is far more useful to AI than "5 stars, great place."
Make your service descriptions specific. "Full-service dog grooming including breed-specific cuts, nail trimming, and teeth cleaning" gives AI much more to reference than "Pet grooming services."
Refine your prompts over time. Add custom prompts that match what your customers actually ask. The more relevant your prompts, the more useful the monitoring data becomes.
When to check AI Search
AI search visibility shifts gradually — checking once or twice a month is enough. Look for:
Is your Presence trending up or down across your key prompts?
Are competitors gaining Share of Voice?
Are there keyword gaps where AI doesn't associate important services with your business?
Is AI-Origin Traffic growing? (If your website is connected)
If you notice a decline, start with Profile Manager (update your profile) and Review Manager (respond to recent reviews). These are the two strongest levers you have.
