Online Booking Setting - Grooming Service

Take control of your service menu for online booking with powerful customization options.
You can tailor exactly which grooming services and add-ons are available online—ensuring a smooth, accurate booking experience for your clients while protecting your team’s time and revenue.

💡 Note: Online booking service settings are only available on the desktop version of MoeGo.
This guide applies to businesses offering grooming services only.

What You’ll Configure

To make grooming services available for online booking, you’ll complete the following steps:

  1. Customize your services in general service settings

  2. Activate services and add-ons for online booking

  3. Configure how pricing is displayed

  4. Assign which staff members can perform each service

Access Online Booking Services

Go to: Online Booking → Settings → Services

From here, you can manage which grooming services and add-ons appear in online booking.

Click Set up service (top right) to jump to Settings → Services, where you can:

  • Create new services

  • Edit existing services and add-ons


Service Preference

Only show applicable service and add-ons on booking page

Available on Growth plan and above

Enable Only show applicable services on booking page to ensure clients only see services that match their pet’s profile.

When this is enabled:

  • Services and add-ons are filtered based on:

Service restrictions are configured under:
Settings → Services → Edit Service

Example

The service “Full Service – Small” is configured for:

  • Pets weighing 1–10 lbs

  • Short or double coats

In this case:

  • Kiki, an Akita weighing 6 lbs with a short coat, can book this service

  • Joey, an Asbash weighing 8 lbs with a long coat, cannot

This prevents clients from booking incorrect services and helps ensure accurate pricing and workload planning.

Activate Services & Add-Ons for Online Booking

Under the Available Services section, switch between Grooming and Add-Ons to manage availability.

A service or add-on will only appear in online booking when:

  • The Online Booking toggle is turned on

Simply enable the toggle for each service or add-on you want clients to see and book online.

Online Booking Pricing Configuration

You can control how prices appear in online booking.

Pricing display options

Choose one of the following for each service or add-on:

  1. Do not show price
    No pricing appears on the landing page or booking page

  2. Show fixed price
    Displays the exact price set in service settings

  3. Show price with “Starting at”
    Shows “Starting at $X”, based on the minimum configured price

  4. Show price as “Varies”
    Displays “Price varies” to indicate variable pricing

To configure:

  • Use the Price column dropdown

  • Select your preferred display option per service or add-on

The selected services will:

  • Appear on your online booking storefront

  • Be selectable during the booking flow


Set Available Staff for the Grooming Services

For grooming services, you can control which staff members are available online.

Staff availability options

  • All staff
    Makes the service bookable with any staff member

  • Specific staff members
    Only selected staff will appear as available for this service

💡 If a staff member is not selected here, they will not appear as available when clients book online.

Important distinction

  • Service Settings → Staff
    Controls which staff appear when manually booking appointments

  • Online Booking → Services → Available Staff
    Controls which staff appear for online booking

These two settings are independent.

Add-on staff rules

  • Add-ons do not support staff selection

  • Staff availability for add-ons follows the parent service


FAQ

How do I set up add-ons for online booking?

  • Add-ons are configured the same way as services.
    Switch to the Add-Ons tab under Online Booking → Services and enable them as needed.

  • Note: Add-ons do not support staff selection.

Why are no services available for a pet during booking?

  • This usually happens when service eligibility rules do not match the pet profile.

  • Check:

    • Pet type, breed, weight, and coat type are included in service settings

    • The service is enabled for online booking

Why is there no availability after selecting a service?

  • Available time slots depend on multiple factors, including:

    • Staff availability for the selected service

    • Business closed dates and holidays

    • Calendar blocks and existing appointments

    • Booking limits for pets

    • Smart scheduling rules

    • Location-specific availability
