What is a Lead?

A lead is a potential customer who has shown interest in your business but has not yet booked an appointment or made a purchase.

Leads can come from many sources, such as:

  • Online Booking inquiries

  • Intake form submissions

  • Phone calls or voicemails

  • Text messages

  • Walk-in or manual entries created by staff

Unlike full clients, leads may still be gathering information, comparing providers, asking questions, or waiting for follow‑up.

When Does a Lead Convert to a Client?

A lead is automatically or manually converted into a client when meaningful engagement happens—typically when the pet parent becomes an active customer.

A lead converts when:

  • They book their first appointment

  • They purchase a membership or package

  • They complete a transaction

  • You manually convert them when they have an official relationship with your business

During the conversion, MoeGo creates or updates a full client profile, carrying over essential information such as:

  • Contact details

  • Pet information

  • Activity history

  • Notes and tasks
