Custom Client/Lead Fields (Ultimate 🌟)

Customer Custom Fields allow your staff to record additional information about a Client or Lead beyond the standard fields provided by MoeGo.

Custom Fields allow businesses to create additional fields for Client and Lead profiles to store business-specific information that is not included in MoeGo’s default CRM fields.

Custom Fields are available on the Ultimate plan and are designed to help businesses capture unique operational, marketing, and compliance data in a structured way.

Before You Start

  • For a complete overview of how Fields Management works, see Fields Management Overview.

  • Custom Fields are available on the Ultimate plan only.

  • Custom Fields are configured in Settings > Customer & Pet > Fields Management on Web.

  • Custom Fields apply to Client Profile and Lead Profile workflows.

  • Custom Fields are not currently supported in Online Booking or Intake Forms (unless manually recreated as booking questions).

What Are Custom Fields

Custom Fields are additional properties you create to store information that does not exist in the default client or lead profile.

They are commonly used to:

  • Track preferences or internal notes

  • Collect marketing and segmentation data

  • Store safety or behavioral information

Once created, Custom Fields appear in:

  • Add Client workflow

  • Add Lead workflow

  • Client Profile details page

  • Lead Profile details page

Setup: Create a Custom Field

  1. Go to Settings > Customer & Pet > Fields Management

  2. Go to the Customer Custom Fields section.

  3. Click ➕ Add new field.

  4. Fill out the field details:

    • Field name

    • Property type — Short text, Long text, Single-select dropdown, Multi-select dropdown, Date & Time

    • Required — choose to force staff to complete this field

    • Placeholderguide your staff with hints

    • Default valuepre-filled answer option

  5. Click Save.

  6. Drag fields to reorder them (drag-and-drop).

Once created, you can now fill these fields when adding or editing Client/Lead profiles.

FAQ

Q: Can I make a field required for staff?
Yes. Enable Required to prevent saving a Client/Lead without filling the field.

Q: Can I edit or delete Custom Fields?
Yes. Custom Fields created by your business can be edited or removed with role permission. Go to Settings > Staff > Role permission to configure.

Q: Do Custom Fields appear in Online Booking?
Not currently. Custom Fields apply to Client and Lead profiles only. If needed, similar questions must be manually added to the Online Booking settings.

Q: Can Custom Fields be configured on mobile?
No. Configuration is available on the Web only.

Q: Do required Custom Fields affect existing client data?
No. Existing records remain unchanged.
