When a room or kennel needs cleaning, repairs, or time out of use, you can add a lodging block to show your team when it’s unavailable.

Follow these steps on MoeGo Web to block one or more lodging units, check for affected reservations, and change or remove a block.

Block a lodging unit

  1. Select Calendar > Lodgings.

  2. Select the location: Choose the location where you want to block rooms.

  3. Select the date range: Use the row for the lodging unit you want to block.

  4. Click Block: The Block lodging form opens.

  5. Select the Lodging unit: You can select more than one unit to block them for the same period.

  6. Enter the Start date and End date: Set the dates when the rooms will be unavailable.

  7. Set the time range: Select Full day(s) for whole days, or clear it and enter the Start time and End time for a shorter period.

  8. Select a Reason. The planned options are Maintenance, Cleaning, Broken / Damaged, Internal Use, and Other.

  9. Enter Additional notes if needed, such as “Door latch repair.”

  10. Review any affected appointments shown in the warning.

  11. Click Save.

A block marks the selected lodging units as unavailable for the dates and times you set. It applies only at the selected location and ends automatically when that period is over.

⚠️ Important: Blocking a room does not move or cancel existing reservations. If a reservation overlaps the block, review its lodging assignment and arrange another suitable room as needed.

Check the saved block

In Calendar > Lodgings, find the unit and dates you blocked. The block appears as a gray bar with diagonal lines and shows the reason.

It appears separately from pet reservations, so your team can see both the block and any overlapping stays.

Change a block

  1. Open the existing block.

  2. Update the dates, times, reason, or notes as needed.

  3. Review any affected appointments for the revised period.

  4. Click Save.

Remove a block

  1. Open the existing block.

  2. Click Delete in the block editor.

  3. Complete the confirmation, if one appears.
