MoeGo Pay setup troubleshooting

What to do when your MoeGo Pay settings disappear or your bank account is removed — covering the three most common causes and how to recover from each.

MoeGo Pay settings are tied to your account's business verification. In certain situations — an ownership transfer, a removed bank account, or an expired verification — MoeGo Pay can appear to reset.

No payment data is lost, but you will need to re-enter your payout details before card processing resumes.

This article explains the three common causes and how to restore your MoeGo Pay setup quickly.

📝 Note: Only the account Owner role can complete MoeGo Pay setup. If you are an admin and see missing payment settings, contact your account owner — they are the only one who can complete this flow.


Why MoeGo Pay settings disappear

Bank account removed

An account admin manually removed the linked bank account in settings

An ownership transfer was completed — MoeGo Pay resets for the new owner

Bank verification was started but not completed before it expired


Recovery steps

Bank account removed or verification expired

  1. Go to Settings > MoeGo Pay > Bank Account.

  2. Re-enter your bank details.

  3. Complete verification.

Payouts resume once bank verification is approved — typically within 1–2 business days.

After an ownership transfer

The new owner must complete MoeGo Pay onboarding from scratch:

  1. Go to Settings > MoeGo Pay > Get Started.

  2. Complete the full onboarding flow:

    • Step 1 — Entity setup: Select your business structure (sole proprietorship, company, or partnership/association). Takes about 1 minute.

    • Step 2 — Business verification: Upload government-issued ID, EIN, bank routing info, and complete the legal e-signature. Takes 3–5 minutes.

    • Step 3 — Confirmation.

💡 Tip: A mismatched address or contact name causes verification delays — double-check before submitting.


After recovery

  • Client saved payment methods are not affected. Your clients' cards on file remain intact on your original payment methods. Only your business payout destination needs to be re-entered.

  • Payouts resume once bank verification is approved (typically 1–2 business days).


Settings keep disappearing after re-setup?

If MoeGo Pay settings reset again after you have re-entered them, there may be a permission conflict or duplicate account issue. Contact MoeGo support directly — this is not something that can be resolved from settings alone.
