MoeGo Invoice - Take Deposit

You can collect a deposit for an appointment immediately after the booking is created. Deposits can be collected either directly over the phone or by sending an online invoice link to the client.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Take Deposit (Desktop)

Step 1: Open the Appointment

From the Calendar, click the appointment card to open the appointment drawer on the right side.

Click Take Payment, then select Take Deposit.

Step 2: Review the Invoice

You will be taken to the invoice page, where you can:

  • Review the service line item details

  • Add service charges (fees) if needed

โš ๏ธ Note: When taking a deposit, the following actions are not available:

  • Adding discounts

  • Adding product sales

The description field will automatically display โ€œThis is a deposit.โ€

Step 3: Collect the Deposit

  1. Enter the deposit amount

  2. Select the payment method

  3. Click Charge

Once the deposit is collected:

  • The appointment status changes to Confirmed

  • The invoice status becomes Partially Paid

Deposit with Online Invoice Link

If you prefer, you can request a deposit by sending the client a secure online payment link (supported by MoeGo Pay).

Steps:

  1. Select Request Deposit with Online Pay

  2. Click Charge

A Send Invoice to Pay Online pop-up will appear.

You can choose to send the payment link by:

  • Text message

  • Email

You can also edit the message content for this one-time request.

๐Ÿ’ก To edit the default template used for sending invoices, refer to the Saved Reply guide.

Once you click Confirm, the message or email will be sent to the client.

What Clients See

When the client opens the secure payment link, they will see:

  • The service item(s)

  • The deposit amount due

Please note:

  • Clients cannot add a tip when paying a deposit

  • The full service price will not be displayed

๐Ÿ“ฑ Take Deposit (App)

  1. From the Calendar, tap the appointment card

  2. Open Appointment Details

  3. Tap Take Payment

  4. Select Take Deposit

  5. Enter the deposit amount

  6. Select a payment method (Cash, Check, Send Invoice to Pay Online, etc.)

  7. Tap Charge

Once completed:

  • The deposit is collected

  • The appointment status changes to Confirmed

  • The invoice status shows Partially Paid
