Written by Amelia
Updated this week

With the current MoeGo invoice version, you can split a payment across multiple payment methods on the same invoice to meet your client’s needs.

For example, a client may choose to pay part in cash and the remaining balance by card or online payment.

Split Payment with Different Payment Methods

🖥️ Desktop

Step 1: Open the Appointment

  1. Go to the Calendar

  2. Click the appointment card

  3. The appointment drawer will open on the right side

Click Take Payment, then select Charge Now.

⚠️ Note: Deposits do not support split payments.

Step 2: Enter the First Payment

  1. Adjust the Amount field to the partial payment amount.

  2. Select a payment method.

  3. Click Charge.

💡 Important:
If the client wants to split payment between a payment method like cash and online invoice, always record the cash payment first, then send the online payment link for the remaining balance.

If you select the online invoice link first, the system will not allow the payment to be split afterward.

Cash Payment Note

When recording a cash payment, enter the amount directly in the Amount field.

You can ignore the “Cash Tendered” field and proceed with the charge.

Step 3: Record Additional Payments

After the first payment:

  1. Select the next payment method

  2. Adjust the Amount if another partial payment is needed

  3. Click Charge

If this is the final payment, simply select the payment method and click Charge without adjusting the amount.

You can split payments as many times as needed by entering smaller amounts for each transaction.

Payment Records

All payment transactions will be recorded on the right side of the invoice, including:

  • Payment method

  • Amount

  • Transaction time

These records will also appear on the receipt.

    • If recording cash, you can ignore the Cash Tendered field

  7. Tap Charge

You can repeat this process multiple times to split the payment across different methods.

The receipt will display all payment transactions with payment method and time.
