The Playgroup view is the daily operations hub for managing group play. It shows every pet in each group, flags vaccine issues without opening any profile, and lets staff reassign a dog to a different group with a single drag.
Navigate here via Calendar > Playgroup.

How It Works
Each group appears as a labeled section showing the current pet count and the maximum daily capacity — for example, Pets: 1/10.
A pet appears in the Playgroup view only when both conditions are met:
The pet has a boarding or daycare appointment on that day
The appointment has been checked in
Pets with cancelled appointments, unconfirmed appointments, or appointments not yet checked in do not appear.
Each pet card shows the pet's name and avatar. If a pet has a missing or expiring vaccination, a flag icon appears on their card — so staff can spot compliance issues at a glance without pulling up the appointment.
Pets whose names are greyed out are not currently in-house on that specific day — they're part of a multi-day stay but haven't arrived yet, or have already left for the day.
Day View
Day View shows all groups side by side for the selected date. This is the primary view for daily operations — reassignments, capacity checks, and vaccine reviews all happen here.
Reassign a pet between groups
In Day View, drag a pet card from its current group to the target group.
A confirmation prompt appears — click Confirm to save.
📝 Note: Drag-and-drop is only available in Day View. Week View is read-only for reassignment.
Assign pets with no group
Click Assign ungrouped pets (top-right) to batch-assign any pets that arrived without a playgroup. See How to Assign a Pet's Playgroup 👈 for the full steps.
Week View
Week View shows each group as a row across a 7-day grid, with the pet count displayed for each day. Use it to see how groups fill up across the week and plan rotations or staffing in advance.
Click any day in the grid to navigate to that day's Day View.
Click the collapse arrow on a group row to hide its details for a more compact weekly overview.
Both Day View and Week View include a print option for generating group lists to hand to handlers before play sessions begin.
Click the printer icon in the top-right corner of the view.
Select which groups to include in the printout.
Choose how much information to display, then print.
