Before you can assign dogs or use the Playgroup view, you need to create the groups your facility uses. Each group gets a name, a color that appears throughout the calendar, and a daily capacity limit that staff can see at a glance.
This article covers how to create, edit, reorder, and delete playgroups. Once groups are set up, see How to Assign a Pet's Playgroup π for how to start placing dogs.

Create a playgroup
Navigate to Settings > Lodgings & Playgroups > Playgroups.
Click Add new playgroup.
Enter a Playgroup name. Names must be unique within your business.
Select a Color code. This color appears as the group's background throughout the Playgroup view. Use clearly distinct colors β similar shades make groups hard to tell apart during a busy morning.
Enter a Max # of pets per day. This is the maximum number of pets this group can hold on any single day. The current count and this limit are both shown in the Playgroup view so staff always know when a group is full.
Add a Description. Useful for noting criteria like "small breeds under 25 lbs" or "solo stays, no group play."
Click Save.
The new group appears in your list immediately and is available for assignment from any pet profile or evaluation appointment.

Reorder playgroups
Drag the six-dot handle on the left of any row to change the display order.
Groups appear in the Playgroup view in the same order shown here β put your most-used groups at the top.
Edit or delete a playgroup
Click the pencil icon to update a group's name, color, capacity, or description.
Click the trash icon to delete a group.
β οΈ Important: Deleting a playgroup removes it from all pet profiles immediately. Any pet previously assigned to that group will have no playgroup until you assign them to a new one.
Limitations
Playgroup names must be unique within your business.
The Description field has a 100-character limit.
