Set up Task Management permissions and notifications

How to control which staff can access and assign tasks, and how to enable task assignment notifications on desktop and mobile.

By default, all staff with access to MoeGo can see the Task Management Center. You can control what each role can do β€” and make sure staff are notified when tasks are assigned to them.

Set up role permissions for Task Management

Task Management has two role-level permissions you can configure independently:

Permission

What it controls

Access tasks

Whether staff can view the task list. Set to "Only assigned tasks" to limit staff to their own tasks only.

Assign staff to task

Whether staff can assign tasks to other team members.

  1. Go to Settings > Staff > Role settings.

  2. Select the role you want to edit.

  3. Scroll to the Task Management section.

  4. Toggle Access tasks on or off. If on, choose between All tasks or Only assigned tasks.

  5. Toggle Assign staff to task on or off.

  6. Click Confirm.

Set up task assignment notifications

Staff can receive a notification β€” on desktop and in the mobile app β€” when a task is assigned to them.

  1. Go to Settings > Staff.

  2. Select the staff member.

  3. Go to the Notify them when section.

  4. Find Task assigned and select Related to them.

  5. Save.

Once set up, the staff member will see a notification in the bell icon on desktop, and a push notification on the mobile app when a task is assigned to them.
