The Grooming Frequency setting helps you track how often each client prefers to schedule their grooming appointments.
In both the Client & Pet Settings and individual Client Profile, you can view, edit, or set the preferred grooming frequency. This feature makes it easier to track client habits and send timely reminders or rebooking prompts.
Set up Grooming Frequency
Note: Default grooming frequency settings is not available on App version.
Set Up a Default Grooming Frequency
Go to Settings > Client & Pet, then select Grooming Frequency to manage your clients’ default frequency preferences.
Click Edit to adjust the default frequency. You can choose to set it by day, week, or month.
Once a default frequency is set, any new client profile without a specified grooming frequency will automatically inherit this default value.
If you check the box “Apply the default value for all clients in Client Profile > Client Details > Grooming Preference", this action will override all existing clients’ grooming frequencies with the new default setting.
Set Up a Client-Specific Grooming Frequency
🖥️ Desktop:
Go to Client & Pet > Client Profile > Settings.
Under Service Preference, you can adjust the Grooming Frequency for this specific client.
For reference, the actual grooming frequency—calculated based on the client’s visit history—will also be displayed below the preferred grooming frequency.
📱App:
Go to Client & Pet > Client Profile
Scroll down and Tap Preference, you can adjust the Grooming Frequency for this specific client.
Use of Grooming Frequency
Rebook Reminder
Grooming Frequency controls when Rebook Reminders are sent to clients.
Go to Settings > Auto Message > Additional Reminders, and select Rebook Reminder.
Choose the send time (e.g., On expected date, 1 day before expected date, etc.).
The expected date is calculated from the client’s last completed appointment plus their Grooming Frequency.
Example
Client: Amelia
Last appointment: Nov 1, 2025
Grooming Frequency: 4 weeks
Rebook Reminder setting: On expected date
Result: Reminder sends 28 days after the last appointment → Nov 29, 2025.
Tip: If a future appointment is already booked, the reminder will not be sent.
Schedule Repeat Appointment
When scheduling a repeat appointment for a client, after selecting the Repeat on rules option and setting the repeat rules, the Repeat Frequency will automatically populate based on the preferred grooming frequency saved in the client’s profile.
