Referral Sources allow you to group and label clients based on where they came from — such as social media, advertisements, referrals, or other marketing channels.
By setting up referral sources, you can easily track how new clients discover your business and identify which channels are driving the most growth.

🖥️ On Desktop:

Manage Referral Sources

  • Go to Settings > Customers & Pets > Referral Sources.

  • Click Add new referral source.

  • Enter the source name (e.g., “Facebook,” “Google Ads,” or “Word of Mouth”).

  • Select it from the dropdown to confirm.

  • Click Save to finish.

  • You can also reorder your referral sources by dragging and dropping them into your preferred order.

  • To edit or delete a referral source, click the options button next to the source name.

Referral Sources in Client Profile

You can manually update a client’s referral source:

  1. Go to the Client Profile → Client Details.

  2. Click Edit Basic Info.

  3. Choose a referral source from the dropdown and click Confirm to save.

Alternatively, you can assign a referral source when creating a new client profile.

Use Referral Sources

You can filter clients by referral source:

  1. Go to Client & Pet List.

  2. Use the Referral Source filter to view clients grouped by their referral origin.

This helps you easily analyze marketing effectiveness and track how clients found your business.

📱On App:

Manage Referral Sources

  • Go to Settings > Clients & Pets > Referral Sources.

  • Click Add to add new referral source.

  • You can also reorder your referral sources by dragging and dropping them into your preferred order.

  • To edit or delete a referral source, click the specific referral source to edit to delete

Request Referral Source from Clients

You can request clients to provide their referral source in two ways:

Option 1: Intake Form

  • Add “Referral Source” as a question in your intake form.

  • Once the client submits the form and you approve it, their answer will automatically save to the client’s profile.

For detailed instructions, see How to Set Up Intake Forms

Option 2: Online Booking

  • Add “Referral Source” as a question in your online booking form.

  • The client’s response will automatically attach to their profile after booking.

Use of Referral Source

Mass Text / Email Campaign

In the Client & Pet List, you can use the Referral Source filter to target clients who were referred through a specific channel.
After applying the filter, select all relevant clients and choose to send a mass text or email campaign directly to that group.

Discount

Under Marketing > Discount, you can create discounts for specific client groups by filtering clients based on their Referral Source.
This allows you to offer targeted promotions to clients referred from a particular source (e.g., social media, partnerships, or existing clients).

Workflow(Beta)

In the Workflow feature, when creating a new workflow, you can now set Referral Source as a trigger condition.
For example, you can automatically send a welcome message or apply a tag when a new client with a specific referral source is created.
