Set Up Membership

Learn how to set up Memberships in MoeGo.

Memberships in MoeGo help you build stronger client relationships by offering recurring plans with built-in benefits, automated billing, and flexible renewal options. 👉 Learn more: Membership Overview

In this guide, you’ll learn how to set up a Membership step by step, configure billing and benefits using the MoeGo web (desktop) .

Currently, Memberships can be created and managed on the web (desktop) version only.

Create a Membership

  1. On the desktop version, go to Loyalty > Memberships

  2. Click Add Membership


Basic Information

Start by filling in the basic details:

  • Membership Name
    A clear, descriptive name for the membership

  • Description
    Details about what the membership includes. This is shown to clients during online purchase.

  • Business Location
    Select which business location(s) this membership is available for.

  • Status

    • Active: Membership can be sold

    • Inactive: Membership will not be displayed or available for purchase

  • Purchase via Online Booking
    Enable this option to allow clients to buy the membership online.


Billing Settings

Billing Cycle

Choose how often the membership renews:

  • Daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly

  • Custom intervals are supported (e.g. every 2 weeks, every 1 month)

Cycle Price (Subscription Price)

Set the amount charged to the client for each billing cycle.

Billing Schedule

Choose when billing begins:

  • Date of Sale
    Billing renews based on the date and time the membership is sold

    • Example: Sold on Feb 2 at 11:00 AM

      • Bi-weekly: renews every other Monday

      • Monthly: renews on the 2nd of each month

  • Custom Billing Date
    Set a specific renewal schedule based on:

    • Time of day

    • Day of week

    • Day of month

    • Day of year

      • Example: If you choose a weekly billing cycle, you can schedule the membership to renew every Monday at 9:30 AM.

Tax

Apply tax rules to the membership if applicable.


Membership Benefits

You can include pricing benefits, service credits, or both.

Pricing Benefits (Discounts)

Automatically apply discounts to selected services, add-ons, products, or packages.

  • Discount Type

    • Percentage (%)

    • Fixed amount ($)

Service Credit Benefits (Complimentary Services)

Offer free services as part of the membership.

  • Quantity

    • Example: 4 free boarding nights and 1 full grooming service per cycle

  • Unlimited

    • Client can redeem unlimited complimentary services during the subscription period

Benefit Expiration Rules

Control how benefits expire and reset.

On Renewal

Benefits reset immediately before each new billing cycle.

  • Example: A monthly membership starting Feb 1

    • Benefits for Feb 1–Feb 28 expire on Mar 1

After X Days

Benefits remain valid for a set duration after purchase.

  • Example:

    • Weekly membership

    • Benefit validity set to 1 month

    • Membership purchased on Feb 2

    • Benefits from each weekly cycle expire one month after they begin


Benefits Configuration

Redeem Benefits Only at Purchased Location

  • Enabled: Benefits can only be used at the location where the membership was purchased

  • Disabled: Benefits can be used across all business locations


Terms & Policy

Define the terms and policies associated with the membership, such as:

  • Cancellation rules

  • Refund policies

  • Usage limitations

These terms are shown to clients during purchase.

Save and Start Selling

Once all details are set:

  1. Click Save

  2. Start selling it to your clients—online or in-store
