MoeGo Memberships (Beta) - Setup and Selling

The Membership feature is a transformative tool for grooming, daycare, and boarding businesses. It helps drive client loyalty, boost revenue, and streamline operations.

By offering memberships, businesses can encourage clients to stay engaged with their services while simplifying billing and reducing administrative tasks.

It is now in Beta, and we are happy to help you get access to it.

Setting Up Memberships

Create Memberships

  • Step 1: Navigate to Loyalty > Memberships > Add membership

  • Step 2: Fill in membership Basic information

    • Membership name: A descriptive title

    • Description: Details about what the membership offers. This will be displayed to clients when purchasing online.

    • Status: Inactive membership cannot be sold anywhere.

    • Subscription price: Price, Tax

    • Billing cycle: Choose a fixed billing cycle (e.g., daily, weekly, monthly, yearly)

    • Terms & Policy: Outline the rules and conditions

Note: When the billing cycle is set to weekly, we provide configurable options to select the specific "day of the week."

This setting can be applied when selling weekly memberships to ensure billing occurs on your preferred day each week.

  • Step 3: Save Your Membership to make it available for sale.

Membership Benefits

  • Include discounts: Automatically apply discounts to services, add-ons, and products during transactions.

    • You can choose particular services, add-ons, or products that will come with the discount.

  • Include service & add-ons: Specify quantities or set them as unlimited complimentary items.

    • Membership Perk Expiry:

      • By the end of the billing cycle: The perk expires before the next billing date.

      • After a set time period (Days, Weeks, Months, or Years): The expiry date is calculated from the date when the membership billing cycle begins.

Applicable Pet

  • You can set up custom limitations with pet weight, breed, or coat type for this specific membership to be availble with.

  • This ensures that only applicable memberships are displayed as options to clients during sales, both in-store and online booking, based on the pet’s settings.

Online Booking

  • Toggle on the button "Enable membership purchase for Online Booking": Allow clients to access and purchase memberships directly through your online booking page.


Sell Memberships

1. Sell In-Store

  • Click the "+ Add" button located at the top bar

  • Click on < sell membership >.

  • Select the business location

  • Choose the client and select the specific membership to proceed.

  • Next, pick a start date for the membership:

    • "Now" to activate and check out the client immediately.

    • Alternatively, select a future date to schedule the membership to start on a specific date and process the payment at your preferred time.

  • Next, click on "Take Payment" or "Schedule Payment", select a card, and proceed to checkout.

  • You can manually enter a new card number or select an existing card on file.

Cards will be authenticated with a $0.50 pre-authorization, which is immediately released.

Any new cards entered will be saved to the client's profile for future use.

Please Note:

  • The sale date (start date of the membership) establishes the beginning of each billing cycle.

  • This means the membership will automatically renew, with payment deducted on the same day each week/month/year, depending on the chosen billing period.

  • The billing renewal date cannot be modified once membership is sold.


2. Send Membership Link

  • Navigate to the Message Center.

    Below the message box, click on the "Link" widget, select "Subscribe Memberships".

  • Choose a specific membership to generate a purchase link, then send it directly to the client to facilitate their purchase.

In the message box, a placeholder such as {membershipLink:2102:EP Monthly} will be shown.

Once the message is sent to the client, this placeholder will be replaced with the actual, unique purchase link.

  • Here's how the membership payment link shows:

    • Clients can choose to add a new payment method or select an existing card on file to complete the checkout.

    • Clients cannot select the membership start date; the subscription will automatically begin on the date of purchase.


3. Sell in Online Booking

  • Option 1: Copy your Online Booking Membership link from Online Booking > Settings > Overview and share it with clients.

  • Option 2: On your Online booking storefront page, clients can click on "Purchase Membership" and complete the purchase.

Membership Process on Client's End

  1. Click on "Purchase Membership".

  2. Log in to the client profile by entering the phone number.

  3. Select a membership plan.

  4. Review the membership details and choose to add a new card or select an existing card on file.

  5. Accept the terms and conditions.

  6. Confirm the payment to complete the purchase.

💡 When a customer successfully purchases a membership, the billing card they've entered will be automatically saved to their profile for future transactions.
