Staff Performance report

How to read the Staff Performance Report — metric definitions for earnings, utilization, grooming report rate, tip rate, and rebook rate, plus how staff access is controlled.

The Staff Performance Report gives you a summary view of each staff member's revenue contribution, productivity, and client satisfaction. Data is based on the appointment date.

Use it to compare performance across staff, identify top earners, track grooming report completion, and measure how well each team member is retaining clients.

Average net sales generated per staff member per working day.

Total net sales ÷ (number of staff × working days)

Average Earnings per Ticket

Average net sales per invoice, excluding cancelled appointments.

Total net sales ÷ number of appointments

Average Earnings per Pet

Average net sales per unique pet serviced (de-duplicated — each pet counted once).

Total net sales ÷ number of unique pets serviced

Average Earnings per Day

Net sales divided by the number of days in the selected date range.

Net sales ÷ number of days in range

First-Time Client

A client with 1 upcoming or 1 finished appointment in the selected time range.

Returning Client

A client with more than 1 finished appointment in the selected time range.

Utilization

Total service time as a percentage of total available working time. Based on clock-in/out records or scheduled shift hours.

Total service duration ÷ total available work time

Grooming Report Sent Rate

Percentage of completed appointments for which a grooming report was sent to the client.

Appointments with grooming report sent ÷ total non-cancelled appointments × 100%

Average Tip Rate

Total tips receivable from non-cancelled appointments as a percentage of gross sales.

Total tips ÷ gross sales

Rebook Rate by Pet / Client

The percentage of pets or clients who had at least one completed appointment during the selected period and at least one future non-cancelled appointment scheduled after that period.

Rebooked pets or clients ÷ total pets or clients with a completed appointment in the period

📝 Note: Utilization requires clock-in/out records or scheduled shift hours to calculate. If neither is recorded for a staff member, utilization will show as --.

Staff access to this report

By default, staff members cannot access reports. An admin can grant access in Settings > Staff > Role settings.

The Access Reports permission can be scoped to of their own, at working businesses, or at all businesses — controlling whether a staff member sees only their own data or all staff data.
