Preset Client/Lead Fields

Learn how to configure required preset fields to ensure consistent, accurate data across client and lead profiles.

Preset Fields are built-in system fields in MoeGo that help you collect essential Client and Lead information in a standardized format. These fields are available on all plans and provide a consistent data structure for every business.

Preset Fields cannot be deleted or renamed. Admins can control whether some fields are required to ensure important information is collected during profile creation.

Before You Start

  • For a complete overview of how Fields Management works, see Fields Management Overview.

  • Preset Fields are configured in Settings > Customer & Pet > Fields Management (Web).

  • Field settings apply to Client Profile and Lead Profile creation workflows.

  • Once configured, Preset Field settings apply to Web workflows. (Mobile app workflow is in progress)

What Are Preset Fields

Preset Fields are default system fields grouped and maintained by MoeGo.
They are designed to cover common CRM data needs for all businesses.

Preset Field groups currently include:

  • Basic Info

  • Contacts

  • Address

These fields help ensure every business collects standardized identity and contact information for clients and leads.

Setup: Configure Preset Fields

  1. Go to Settings > Customer & Pet > Fields Management on Web.

  2. Find the Preset Field group you want to configure.

  3. Toggle Required at the field level or group level.

  4. Save your changes.

The settings will apply to new Client and Lead profiles immediately.

  • Some fields are system-enforced and are always required. These fields cannot be made optional:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Phone

    • Preferred business (for multi-location)

  • ⚠️ Noted behavior: Enabling Required for the Address group mandates every field, including Country.

FAQs

Q: Can I rename or delete Preset Fields?
No. Preset Fields are system-defined and cannot be renamed or deleted.

Q: Can I configure Preset Fields on mobile?
No. Configuration is available on the Web only.

Q: Do required Preset Fields affect existing client data?
No. Existing records remain unchanged.

Q: Can I make First Name and Last Name optional?
No. These fields are always required by the system.
