When clients book appointments online, they may either choose a specific groomer or select “I’m good with anyone.”
To help your team better understand client intent and manage staff assignments with confidence, MoeGo now clearly shows whether a groomer was chosen by the client or not.
What is the “Client Selected” tag?
The “Client Selected” tag indicates that the client intentionally chose a specific groomer during online booking.
This helps you:
Understand client preferences at a glance
Make informed staffing decisions when editing appointments
Avoid accidentally changing a groomer that the client specifically requested
💡 Use the “Client Selected” tag as a quick signal before reassigning staff, especially when handling schedule changes, overbooking, or last-minute availability updates.
How it works in Online Booking
1. Client selects a groomer during booking
If your Online Booking settings allow clients to choose a groomer and a client selects one intentionally:
A “Client Selected” tag is applied
The tag appears on both the resulting appointment
This makes it clear that the groomer's choice came directly from the client.
2. Groomer is automatically assigned
If your Online Booking uses auto-assign staff, and clients do not select a specific groomer:
The appointment is marked as auto-assigned
No “Client Selected” tag is applied
This indicates the groomer was assigned based on availability or system rules, not client preference.
Where you’ll see the “Client Selected” tag
The tag is visible when working with appointments created from Online Booking requests, including:
Scheduling an Online Booking request: Advanced Editing, Smart Scheduling
Editing appointment schedule
Editing pet and service details
Multi-staff per service mode
Adding an appointment to the waitlist
Repeating an appointment from an Online Booking request
This is available on both the web and the mobile.
Repeat vs. Book Again: what happens to the tag?
Repeat appointment
If you convert an Online Booking request into a repeat appointment:
The “Client Selected” tag is carried over to future appointments
This is because the repeat appointment is treated as part of the same booking series
Book Again
If you click Book Again from an Online Booking appointment:
The “Client Selected” tag does not carry over
Book Again creates a brand-new appointment, separate from the original booking
If you want to indicate a preferred groomer in this case, you can:
Manually select the staff, or
Add a note to capture the client’s preference
