This Holiday relief gives you more room now and is part of MoeGo's broader effort to make everyday messaging easier. More SMS and Marketing Campaign improvements are coming early next year.

What's included
Free Holiday SMS Bonus with your plan
Starting October 1, eligible businesses can claim a Holiday SMS Bonus once at the account level.
Any staff member can claim the bonus.
Only one person on the team needs to claim it.
Claiming unlocks the full bonus for the current billing cycle immediately. The bonus is not prorated based on the number of days left in the cycle.
After the first claim, the bonus is included again when each eligible billing cycle renews through the Holiday period.
The exact number of bonus credits depends on the business type and subscription plan. MoeGo shows the applicable amount in the claim message.
More credits in Holiday SMS add-on packages
From October 1 through December 31, SMS add-on packages include more credits at the same listed price:

No separate claim is required for add-on packages. The Holiday package amount applies automatically to both manual purchases and Auto Reload purchases made during the Holiday period.
How to claim the free Holiday SMS Bonus
On the MoeGo desktop app
Sign in to MoeGo on or after October 1.
Find the Holiday SMS banner at the top of the page.
Select Claim now.
Look for the Claimed confirmation.
On the MoeGo Business App
Open the navigation menu.
Select Claim free SMS.
Review the bonus amount shown for your account.
Select Claim now.
If you select Later or close the banner without claiming, the claim reminder appears again after 24 hours. It continues to reappear until someone on the account claims the bonus or the Holiday benefit ends. There is no earlier claim deadline, but the claim action disappears on January 1, 2027.
When your bonus starts
The bonus starts as soon as it is claimed and applies in full to the billing cycle that is currently in progress. It does not add credits to billing cycles that already ended.
Example: Your billing cycle runs from the 16th of each month to the 16th of the next month. If someone claims the bonus on October 1:
The full current-cycle bonus is available from October 1 through October 16.
On October 16, your plan credits renew and a new Holiday bonus is added for the October 16âNovember 16 cycle.
This continues for billing cycles that begin before January 1, 2027.
Claiming earlier gives your team more time to use the first bonus, but it does not change the amount granted for that billing cycle.
How rollover works
Plan credits, Holiday plan bonus credits, and purchased package credits follow different renewal rules:

Free Holiday SMS Bonus | Unused credits expire with that billing cycle. A new bonus is added when the next eligible billing cycle begins. |
Purchased SMS add-on credits | Unused credits roll over and remain available until they are used. |
Example: If your billing cycle begins on December 16, the Holiday bonus granted for that cycle remains available until the cycle ends on January 16. The claim action still disappears on January 1, and a billing cycle beginning on or after January 1 returns to the regular plan allowance.
Multi-location accounts
For multi-location accounts, SMS credits continue to follow the regular plan-and-location rules. One team member can complete the account-level claim, while each eligible location receives the bonus based on that location's subscription plan.
What changes on January 1, 2027
The Holiday claim action disappears.
New billing cycles return to the regular plan SMS allowance.
SMS add-on packages return to their regular credit amounts.
Purchased SMS credits already on the account remain available until used.
A Holiday bonus already granted to a billing cycle that began before January 1 remains available until that cycle ends.
A related improvement to SMS counting
MoeGo is also correcting how emoji-containing messages are counted and enabling Smart Encoding.
Smart Encoding can replace certain compatible Unicode punctuation or spacing characters with standard SMS characters, helping avoid unnecessary multi-part messages.
Emoji still uses Unicode encoding and may reduce the number of characters available in each SMS segment.
Because usage is now calculated more accurately, some new emoji-containing messages may use more credits than before. Previously recorded usage will not be recalculated.
