How to create a boarding or daycare appointment

How to manually book a boarding or daycare appointment for a client, including service selection, lodging assignment, and optional add-ons.

MoeGo lets you create boarding and daycare appointments directly from the calendar, lodgings view, or the quick-add button. This article walks through the full manual booking flow.

Create an appointment

Step 1: Open a new appointment

There are three ways to start a new booking:

  • From the + button: Click the + button at the top of any screen.

  • From the calendar: Navigate to Calendar, select the date, and click on an open time slot.

  • From the lodgings view: Navigate to Calendar > Lodgings, find an available room, and click to book directly from that slot.

Step 2: Select client, pet, and service type

  1. Search for the client by name or phone number. Select the correct client and pet.

  2. Select the service type: Choose Boarding or Daycare.

πŸ“ Note: If the selected service requires an evaluation and the pet has not completed one, you will be prompted to schedule an evaluation appointment first before proceeding.

Step 3: Fill in service details

Fill in the appointment details based on the service type selected:

Step 4: (Optional) Add a grooming service

You can add a grooming service to a boarding or daycare booking for clients who want a combined care package.

  1. In the appointment form, click Add service.

  2. Select the grooming service from the menu.

⚠️ Important: You cannot add a boarding or daycare service from within a grooming appointment. Always start from the boarding or daycare booking if you want to combine services.

Step 5: (Optional) Add add-on(s)

Add-ons let you attach extra services β€” like a training session or a special activity β€” to a boarding or daycare stay, and schedule them across specific days of the visit.

To add one add-on:

  1. Open the service in the appointment and click Add add-on.

  2. Select the add-on from the Add-on dropdown. The Price and Duration fill in automatically β€” adjust either if you need to for this booking. πŸ”

  3. Under Date(s), choose when the add-on applies during the stay:

  4. Set Quantity per day β€” how many times the add-on is applied on each selected day.

  5. Click Save.

To add multiple add-ons:

Repeat the steps above for each add-on you want to include. Each one keeps its own price, dates, and quantity, so you can mix add-ons that run on different days of the same stay. πŸ”

πŸ’‘ Tip β€” Want the same add-on on more than one day?

You don't add it multiple times. Add it once, then under Date(s) choose Certain date(s) and select each day you want it to apply (for example, a training session on days 2, 4, and 6 of an 8-day stay). Use Quantity per day only when the add-on should run more than once on the same day.

Step 6: Confirm the appointment

Review the details and click Confirm to save the appointment. It will appear in the calendar and lodgings view.

Daycare quick check-in

For walk-in daycare clients, use quick check-in to skip the full booking flow and get them checked in faster.

  1. Click Daycare quick check-in at the top of the calendar.

  2. Select the pet and daycare service.

  3. Confirm to check the pet in immediately.
