MoeGo Invoice - After Checkout

After an appointment is finished and the invoice is fully paid, you can still manage several actions from the invoice, such as:

  • Sending or resending receipts

  • Correcting staff assignments

  • Adjusting appointment times

  • Editing tip distribution between staff


Send Receipt

Once an invoice is fully paid, you can send a receipt to the client.

Steps

  1. Open the appointment drawer

  2. Click View Invoice

  3. Click Send Receipt

You can choose to send the receipt by:

  • Text message

  • Email

You may also edit the message content for this one-time send and choose whether to send it to the primary contact or additional contacts.

After clicking Confirm, the receipt will be sent successfully. A confirmation message will appear, and the Send Receipt button will change to Resend Receipt.

Auto Receipt

You can enable automatic receipt sending after payment is completed.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Auto Message → Appointment Updates

  2. Find Send receipt once fully paid

  3. Turn the toggle ON

  4. Edit the message template if needed

⚠️ Make sure the Receipt Link variable is included in the template.

This template is also used as the default message when manually sending receipts, even if the auto message is turned off.


Edit Staff Assignment or Appointment Time

If a mistake was made in the staff assignment or appointment details, you can still correct it after checkout.

Steps

  1. Open the appointment from the Calendar or Client Profile

  2. Click the Finished status

  3. Select Undo Checkout

This will revert the appointment to its previous status.

⚠️ Note: Undoing checkout will change the checkout timestamp if you later mark the appointment as finished again.

Update Staff or Appointment Details

After undoing checkout:

  1. Hover over the appointment time or service card

  2. Click Edit

  3. Update the staff assignment or appointment details

  4. Click Take Payment and mark the appointment Finished and Fully Paid

This ensures reports reflect the correct staff and appointment information.


Edit Check-In / Check-Out Time

Undoing checkout may affect the recorded service time for staff.

To adjust the check-in or check-out time:

  1. Hover over the check-in / check-out time bar

  2. Click Edit

  3. Update the check-in or check-out date and time

  4. Save the changes


Edit Staff Tip Split

You can modify how tips are distributed among staff even after the invoice is closed.

By default, tip distribution is based on your Payroll Settings: Settings → Staff → Payroll Settings

Tip split can be configured as:

  • Split by service price

  • Split equally among staff

Edit Tip Distribution

  1. Open the appointment drawer

  2. Click View Invoice

  3. Under the Tip section, click Edit Tip Split

You can then:

  • Reallocate tips between staff members

  • Adjust the total tip amount for staff

  • Choose the split method:

    • Split by service price

    • Split equally

    • Custom split

Important Note:

Tip distribution is typically based on the services provided by assigned staff members.

However, for services such as Boarding or Daycare, where staff may not be assigned directly to the appointment, you may choose to allocate a portion of the tip to Remaining Tip.

This allows you to later distribute that portion of the tip to boarding or daycare staff according to your business’s internal tip policy.

Custom Tip Split

If selecting Custom Split, you can adjust tips by:

  • Percentage

  • Fixed amount

After making adjustments, click Save.

The updated tip distribution will immediately appear on the invoice.


📱 Send Receipt (App)

After finishing an appointment and collecting payment:

  • If Auto Receipt is enabled, the receipt will be sent automatically.

You can also send or resend the receipt manually.

Steps

  1. Open the appointment invoice

  2. Tap Send Receipt

If the receipt has already been sent, you will see “Receipt sent at [date and time]” above the Resend Receipt button.

From the pop-up window, you can:

  • Send by text message

  • Send by email

  • Share the receipt link

Tap Send or Share Link to deliver the receipt.

📱 Edit Tip Split (App)

To adjust tip distribution in the mobile app:

  1. Open the invoice

  2. Tap Edit Tip Split

You can then:

  • Adjust the total tip amount

  • Choose a split method:

    • Split by service price

    • Split equally among staff

    • Custom split

For custom splits, you can adjust:

  • Percentage per staff member

  • Fixed amount per staff member

Tap Confirm to save the changes.
